Once again, right before I could attempt to get information from August to confirm my suspicions, Ugochi came back to the table with all our drinks and I just had to swallow my curiosity and try to enjoy the outing I had painstakingly put together–mostly.
We dug into our food as if we had never encountered anything close to food from the moment we were born.
We couldn't be blamed anyway, we were extremely hungry and the food was as delicious as my mother's cooking.
The moment I placed a piece of the enormous fried chicken on my plate inside my mouth, it took everything in me not to moan out loud.
It felt like there was a merry party in my mouth.
My taste buds exploded with joy as they came in contact with the juiciness of the chicken.
Looking over at my friends, it was with great pleasure that I noticed that I wasn't the only one who was nearing the gates of heaven.
They were equally in ecstasy.
