The long-awaited matriculation ceremony for freshmen was held a week after my tantrum at scoring a low mark in the organic chemistry test and being insanely jealous of my friends for getting a higher score than I did.
My jealousy and anger at myself had simmered down a few days after the test results were released.
The results of other courses were released then and I had scored exponentially high marks.
Therefore, I decided to forget about the inadequacies and uncertainty I felt about myself and strive to do better in the future.
I was heading to the administration block on a hot Thursday afternoon, a few days to the announced matriculation to be held on Tuesday, the week after, to check out the examination timetable that was recently posted on the notice board.
The timetable had been posted on my department group chat but it was too blurry to make anything out of it so my only other option was to check it out in person.
