Dahlia went red in the face at that thought, she was not that kind of person to have such indecent thoughts about a man. It was shameless and improper.
But then, what was indecent about her thought?
Before she would even say a word, Tobias continued from where he stopped, "I would like to offer you an explanation,"
"While standing there?" She pointed out the fact he was still right outside her door. She opened it wider, "You should come in,"
The surprise on Tobias' face told her he had not been expecting such a gesture. As much as she was mad at him, that doesn't mean she had no manners.
It wasn't until Tobias stepped into the room that Dahlia realized how small her room was or the fact Tobias was a tall, dark and brooding vampire.
"Have a seat...." there was no seat?
It was just her bed, was she ready to welcome him into her bed?
Huh, welcome him into her bed? That sounds ambiguous. Just get the dirty thoughts out of your head, Dahlia!
This game was beginning to corrupt her!
"You can sit at the edge of the -"
"No, thank you," Tobias didn't even entertain the thought of it. Well then, no one would blame her for making him stand.
So while Dahlia sat at the edge of the bed, looking up at him, Tobias stood in front of her with his hands behind his back. The way he carried himself sometimes reminded her of royalty; the vampire looked noble.
Tobias went on immediately, "The fact you were endangered is my fault,"
"Okay?" Dahlia was ready for the whole story.
"The evil forest is inhabitable with danger lurking at every corner, however, the fact that we are currently safe is that I cast a protective barrier around us,"
She blinked, "You what?"
"There's an invisible dom like barrier currently shielding this place from attacks from demonic beasts like you witnessed,"
"Wow," That actually makes sense. Dahlia had been thinking how it was possible they hadn't been attacked in this evil forest until recently since she found herself here. Guess this Op (overpowered) vampire got everything covered. He was so cool.
"I got distracted while feeding and the dom went down, hence the reason the beast was able to sneak in. But don't worry, it won't happen again,"
'It won't happen again' Dahlia's face fell at that statement. That could only mean Tobias has no plans of releasing her anytime soon. That sucks.
Unfortunately for her, Tobias noticed her reaction and asked with furrowed brows, "You don't look happy?"
"It's nothing," Dahlia tried her best to smile at him but it didn't touch her eyes yet Tobias didn't point that out.
"I just want to inform you that you can easily leave the dom but can't come in, you'll be locked out unless I let you in," He said.
That explains how she easily left here the first time, she hadn't even noticed the dom or whatever he said was there.
"Thanks for the information," Dahlia told him.
"Sure. Now have your rest," That was all Tobias said to her and turned to leave only to halt after a few steps.
He whirled around asking, "You don't like it here?"
"Huh?" Dahlia was surprised by the question only for a series of notifications to ring in her head.

Hmmm, Dahlia wondered, does it mean their relationship was good now?

Of course, the system couldn't wait to debit her.

[Current loan debt: 6000 credit loan]
Thankfully, her debt was being paid off gradually and soon she'd be free! Dahlia knew she'd be the last person to ask that money-hungry system to loan her a skill ever again!
But it was the sudden quest that caught her attention.

What does the system mean by eloquent skills? She had no communicative skills, why does the system think she stayed on her own all this while? Her cat Smuff was much easier to communicate with than fellow humans!
But the system had already left and Dahlia realized the static affecting the people in the game aka Tobias vanished as well. Dahlia noticed that whenever she was in the company of others and the system wanted to issue something, especially missions, the game went static.
Now, Tobias was waiting for her reply.
What was she going to do, Dahlia panicked in her mind. She didn't have great persuasive powers and the system thinks much of her for crying out loud!
Then it hit her, she could act the way she has seen from the numerous movies she watched. Sigh, movies were a lifesaver - and she'd watched enough of them.
At once, Dahlia lowered her head and bit on her lips while fiddling with her hands.
Tobias took that gesture as nervousness, so he said to her, "I won't hurt you if that's what you're afraid of. I would rather prefer it if you were honest with me,"
Just what she wanted.
She looked up at him slowly and with
trepidation, saying, "It's not that I don't like it here but I miss my family…" her lips shook, tears slipping from her face.
Even Dahlia was shocked by her reaction, she had not prepared to go over the top but the moment she put her mind to it, the acting just came naturally to her.
"The worst part is that I don't even remember if my parents are out there, it's kind of frustrating, you know?" She wiped them away, "I just want to know who I am, where I'm from, and what happened to me," Dahlia said, looking up at him with those pitiful, tears-filled eyes.
For a moment, there was just silence and Dahlia was worried, thinking that Tobias has seen through her acting only for him to announce,
"Fine, I'll find your parents for you,"
