Real fear gripped Dahlia when the countdown began and she looked at Romulus all color draining from her face. What was going on here? Didn't that damn developer say she had the option of staying back here, but there wasn't any. The system was sending her back to earth and for the first time, Dahlia had no desire to return.
She liked it here, why was the system sending her away? What was going to happen to her kids? To Romulus? She couldn't leave them. No, the separation would kill her.
Romulus must have sensed her panic because he looked at her worried, "What's wrong?"
Dahlia opened her mouth to say it but no words could come out and when they finally did, it almost break her saying, "It's time for me to go home,"
