The resounding boom from above told Dahlia that wherever they were was underground because dust crept in and the place threatened to cave in. However, the tension in the room was thick because Tobias had not returned and Azala was growing impatient.
"What is going on?!" Azala roared when Dahlia released a guttural roar, her hands digging into the sheet beneath her.
"She's refusing to push," Murmured the poor midwife who seemed scared of the witch. Dahlia didn't need to guess that the witch threatened or forced her here, that was what Azala was good at.
"What do you mean she's refusing to push?!" Azala snapped, obviously under tension because her gaze kept moving to the door. She was anxious about Tobias return, neither did she have an idea what was happening above her.
