"Freeze."
Zera and Jaspreth had no choice but to stay still. The tip of a gun could be seen from the tiny slit of the door.
Jaspreth mumbled his frustration. Zera could only offer consolation at the moment. Her brain was trying to figure out what to do next.
She had no plans of getting captured without a fight. They need to do something at least.
The tiny door was then forcefully pushed open. Zera squinted, her eyes adjusting to the sudden light allowed inside the small space they were in.
"Huh," the guy holding the gun mused. He was enjoying the moment. The look on his face told Zera the things he didn't say aloud.
Zera narrowed her gaze. She somehow familiarized his voice and was trying to put his face somewhere.
"We meet again, Princess."
Zera frowned, noticing the scar right above his eyebrow. The mental image then clicked in Zera's head. She remembered who he was now.
