Chapter 144 - It's About Time.

The guard slammed back into the stalk of a tree before lightly rebounding, saber raised to slash at the man who was trying to head back to the group. No matter what, he thought, he needed to keep at least one of them here. That was the only way they'd be able to find anything out. His Luna had been deeply suspicious of the amount of people hidden within this forest, and not that he had come across this group, he was sure that she had been right. The only way to leave clues in case anything happened to him was to take at least one person down with him. As he slashed toward the escaping man, he saw a flash of steel in his peripheral view. He instantly shifted, bringing his blade up to meet it.
