When Salana woke up an hour later, she remembered why she had wanted to be up when Lyle was. In order to cover the fact that they woke up earlier, she needed to leave behind certain side effects, so the antidote would work in stages. Regaining his consciousness was the first, but at the time he'd be overly sensitive to pain, light, sound, etc. She had wanted to give him an additional pill that would minimize the effects while continuing to show his condition remained the same. Without that, he would be in acute, agonizing pain. She hopped off her chaise, quickly getting dressed. She just hoped he hadn't woken up yet.
