As Salana walked toward the woods with Dahlia, she activated her power to the fullest extent she could, creating a visual and audible illusionary projection to take a different path while covering them as they walked. She couldn't make them invisible, nor could she make them disappear, but what she could do was make them unable to be seen. When eyes wandered toward them, they would "skip over" them, so to speak, as if their brains would be unable to recognize them.
Dahlia could feel Salana's attention being diverted and realized she was doing something that required her focus. She considered the fact that she was probably making an effort to disguise where they were headed or at least throw others off their trail. It made her a bit more confident in her analysis, which caused her to unconsciously breathe a sigh of relief.
