Chapter 45 - People Who Care

After Neil left, Salana began to clean herself up. She couldn't change clothes because it would be too obvious, so she simply removed the blood from her hands and face and made herself at least a bit more presentable. When she walked out of the warehouse, she saw Dahlia stooping outside with Lucille rubbing her back. She looked at her guiltily, knowing that she was feeling unwell because of what she had seen. Admittedly, it was extremely rough. The thing that kept her from feeling too unwell about it was that they did so much worse to her love, so she refused to give in to the nausea when she came back to herself. She simply looked at the ceiling and forcibly calmed herself. For Dahlia, there was nothing requiring her to do so.

"Lia….. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to see that, I just---"
