*Damian's POV*
It's been a week since Jamie and I have been dating and we haven't gotten ANY ALONE TIME WITH HIM AT ALL!!! It's history right now and the teacher is ranting about some genocide but the only thing that's on my mind is Jamie, my Lil Bunny.
"Blah Blah Blah and you have a test on this chapter, on Friday. So, come prepared," she announced. I jumped up from my seat, I wasn't prepared, I didn't have notes or references and it's only Tuesday. I AM GONNA DIE. I looked at Joseph like a helpless puppy. He looked away and walked out of the class. I ran up to him with pleading eyes. He sighed,
"Let me guess, you need help?" I nodded, "Sorry pal, but I need help too." He said. I clung on to him,
"You can't abandon me!" I cried, "We are partners after all!"
"Partners in what?" he struggled to get me off.
"We've been friends since sixth grade and now you are going to be my brother-in-law soon, so we fail together and pass together. STUDY WITH ME!!!" People around us were giggling and looking at us weird, but we've been like this since sixth grade. We've been so close that people thought that we were brothers. We kept our drama on while students came in for the next class.
"Damian?... Joseph?" We looked up to see Jamie looking at us confused. Joseph pushed me so hard I almost hit the lockers.
"Hey squirt, why are you here?" He asked as Jamie came to help me up. I love him!!!
"This is my class. The bell rang, what are you guys still doing here?" He asked. Wait, the next class is AP World class. I looked at Joseph and he was also thinking the same thing. We both then looked at Jamie at the same time.
"What?"
"Which class is this?" I asked hoping for the answer I'm looking for.
"AP World, Why?" He answers innocently. I throw my hands in the air and do a little excited dance.
"Please tutor me this week, I have a test on Friday. Please, if you do, I'll take you wherever you want to go." I told him. I see the excitement buildup inside of him, knowing that there is a place that he wants to go.
"It's really fine. I can tutor you this week and there is no need to take me anywhere." He said humbly. How could someone so cute exist?
"Nope. After the test, I'm taking you somewhere. It's a perfect excuse for a date." I said cheerfully. Jamie's brows furrowed like he was not satisfied with my answer.
"So this is the only time you'll take me on a date?" He asked, crossing his arms above his chest and pouted. Hearing his words caused me to panic a little and at the same time I was swooned by his cute pouty face.
"No, I didn't mean... what I meant was... ah goddammit." I was flustered. I didn't know what to say and I knew for a fact that whatever comes out of my mouth will upset him.
Amid my panic I heard a small chuckle coming from him, he was teasing me. I launched at him and grabbed him around his waist from behind as he attempted to escape. I squeezed him, causing him to laugh louder.
"Lil Bunny's getting bold teasing me like that. Let's see how you like this." I shower him with kisses making him laugh even louder and struggle out of my grasp (which he couldn't).
"Stop, people are looking at us like we're weirdos." He exclaims breathlessly. I let go of him.
"Okay, I'll be waiting for you after school in the parking lot like last time." I kiss him one last time as I rush to my class. This is going to be so great.
*After School in the parking lot*
I waited for Jamie in my car. I made sure it was clean. Oh shit! Was my room clean? Damn, I called my sister to make sure that my room was clean and luckily my mom cleaned it for me before she left for work. I love my mom and I can't wait to introduce her to Jamie.
Jamie arrived shortly after and we drove to my house. We arrived on my driveway to see another car parked and I knew who it was.
"Damn, it looks like we can't go in." I curse under my breath.
"Why?" Jamie asked innocently.
"Cause, my sister's boyfriend is here. And they are most probably not going to just cuddle and hang out." He made an 'o' with his mouth understanding what I meant.
"There's a café I go to whenever I need to study, maybe we can go there." He said.
"Sure, lead the way Lil Bunny," I said ruffling his hair. We arrived at a very antique looking cafe that seemed mature for someone like Jamie, you know since he's small and childlike. We went inside and it looked almost empty. There was a strong aroma of coffee that made it a home feeling. The entire place was like a wood composed café, like a tavern back in the day. We were greeted by a kind old man who was cleaning coffee mugs.
"Oh Jamie, it's been awhile, how have you been?"
"I have been great, Grandpa Dave. Sorry for not visiting for some time."
"It's fine. By the way, who is this dapper gentleman?"
"This is my boyfriend, Damian. Damian, this is Grandpa Dave, the owner of this Cafe." Jamie looked at me with a triumphant look. But I was kinda skeptical since you know he was old at all. He looked at us with the sweetest smile I have ever seen.
"My, isn't he handsome. He reminds me of Gabe when he was young, but he was handsome-er." Gabe?
"Jeez, you say that to anyone. Anyway, how is Grandpa Gabe? I heard he was in hospital."
"Oh, the old fogey is fine. He sprained his ankle when he fell from the ladder while fixing the lightbulb."
"Who's an old fogey?" An old man approached from the kitchen. I assumed he was Gabe.
"Grandpa Gabe!" Jamie exclaimed and hugged the old man. And boy, calling him an old man was an understatement. He was old, but it wasn't shown much. He looked like he was in his 40s. He was equally tall and fit as if he was trained.
"Jeez Grandpa, you need to be careful. You're already in your 60s, which causes difficulty if your bones break." Jamie said it so casually. I kept my laugh in order not to seem rude.
"Jeez kid, you don't have to remind me every time." He said ruffling Jamie's hair.
He looked towards me with narrow eyes as if he was scanning me. "Hey, aren't you Jones' grandson?" He asked.
"Yes, sir."
"My, don't you look like him, isn't that true Dave."
"Ah, now I get why I knew I felt like I had seen him before. Wow, you look just like your grandfather, kid."
"Thanks, I get that a lot." I smiled.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce you guys," Jamie announced, "This is Grandpa Gabe, Dave's husband," HUSBAND! "and this is Damian, my boyfriend."
I was confused. It kinda made sense, but at the same time, I am really confused.
"How do you know my grandfather, Sir?"
"Call me Gabe, son. And your grandpa and I were best friends back in high school. And thanks to that old bastard I was able to meet the love of my life." He said as he walked over to Gabe and kissed him on his forehead. How sweet. Together for life.
Looking at them made me wonder about my life with Jamie, far into the future. Him and I, in our retirement cabin, in our 60s are still a couple. Maybe we could have grandkids. I would love that. I would love to spend the rest of my life with him and only him.
"Okay, you big goof, let's get started so you can pass this test." Jamie pushed me to a table and began to tutor me, and boy was he good. I understood everything in a flash. Looks like I'm going to ace this test.
The week passed in a flash and Jamie tutored me every day. Today is Friday and I just finished the test. Pretty sure I aced it.
NOW, MY LONG AWAITED WEEKEND WITH JAMIE!!!!!!
