Kaiden let the phone drop on the bed. He could not believe all that Zev had just told him. Does it mean that they were never a thing? That Vanessa sleeping over at his house meant nothing more than a simple visit? Why then had she mentioned someone that she had come to love and all that saying also that Zev knows? Was she going through a lot more and had kept it buried in order not to pitch her problems on him?
