Kai mumbled his words tiredly for the umpteenth time this evening. Whoever was at the other side of his bedroom definitely had lots of patience because of how they kept knocking to disturb his sleep and worst still, refusing to say anything or as much as mention who they were.
He rolled over on his side and pressed his nose against the pillow.
Knock, knock!* Knock, knock!!**
Again with the knocks?
Seriously?
Kaiden viciously pulled at his hair now. But he decided not to speak up like he did before.
In the silence that reigned after, he instantly felt relief. It was the situation that made him believe that the persistent knocker had given up his quest.
He had his doubts though; doubts regarding the likelihood of them still stalking around that side. But a sultry minute elapsed with no sign of a repeat knock landing on his door anytime soon.
