Verlian gripped his sword tightly and gritted his teeth in annoyance, his heart beating quickly from worry. Bayer laughed as he lunged towards Verlian, his sword pointed forward. It was almost as if he had thrown the weapon and allowed himself to be carried with it, resulting in an incredible speed. Verlian's eyes widened as he just barely managed to dodge. It had been a long time since he'd had a fight with an opponent of such caliber.
As Bayer planted his feet into the ground, Verlian quickly rushed him. Bayer whisked around and blocked Verlian's attack with his sword causing a 'CLING' noise to echo throughout the surrounding area. "What's the matter? You should know better than to let your mind wander on the battlefield. I would expect more from a god. Perhaps I've already exceeded you in power and in mental strategy! I'll enjoy our fight, but have no worries, I will enjoy killing a god more!" Bayer kneed Verlian in the stomach and shoved him away.
