As the wind passed by, it carried the scent of the colourful flowers embedded in the floor and found it's into my nose. The scent of the flowers made me feel light headed.
"VICTORIA!!" Kelly, my friend yelled.
"Jeez, I ain't deaf you know." I covered my ears and looked at her quite annoyed.
"When you didn't respond to my call I thought you were. I mean, I have been calling you like forever." She said.
I just rolled my eyes at her .
"Seriously, what are you thinking that is keeping you absent minded." She looked at me with a teasing smile. "Are you thinking of a certain boy, named Jake."
" Ewwww no, I was just thinking of my childhood not Jake." I said.
"O c'mon Victoria, why would you think of that when you have that boy to think of."
"Will you stop it, you know very will that I don't like him."
" You know forget it, two more months and you will be fifteen, so...."
" Soooo?"
"So... you're...going tooooo."
"Errr; that thing, let's see them try." I felt disgusted by the thought.
Kelly stood up and brush the petals of her dress.
"How can you not be a happy bunny when you about to reach the age of courtship; I mean I was a happy bunny when I turned fifteen. Gosh I had so many suitors," She twirled on her tippy toes."And one lover, who is still my current boyfriend." She squeaked.
I just looked at her and shook head.
"Don't look at me like that." She knelt in front of me.
I laid flat on my back and looked up the clear blue warm sky.
"All I can say is don't fall to much for him; I mean you may not know, he might leave you to go and court someone. And when that happens you can get a heart break."
"Yeah, yeah yeah whatever." She waved her hands.
It was dinner time, my parents and I were at the garden having our dinner.
" Mom and my sister are coming." Father said without a care.
Mother suddenly choked on her food and looked at father.
"What?!" She gasped after I gave her a glass of water." Your mother and sister are coming, here, I hope they didn't come to stay here till Victoria's birthday." Mother said.
" Maria you know very will that they are family, and if they stay here for Victoria's birthday there is nothing wrong with that." Father told her.
Mother gave him a disapproval look.
"You know very will that I don't do will with them." She said.
I may not know why, but, as long as I can remember, mother and grandmother don't go so well. No I take that, infact she doesn't do well with my father side of the family.
"The last time l invited them to a party everything went down hill! " Mother raised her voice.
Father banged his hand on the table and stood.
" Don't raise you voice at me woman." I heard father say. " Besides, they apologized."
"Look Eric, our daughter will soon turn fifteen and I went her to have the best coming of age ceremony party and for that to happen I don't want those demons to be here." mother said through gritted teeth.
"Maria, watch it!" Father raised his voice.
"Oh look here, I bad mouth your family and you raise your voice at me." Mother angrily said.
Father inhaled deeply and sat down.
"Where was that side of you when they bad mouth my deceased family." Mother got up angrily and left the garden.
I took my glass of water and sipped it.
"It looks like someone is going to sleep outside." I said referring it to my father.
He gave me a dirty look and I quickly made it for my room.
The following day, breakfast was really tense mother and father didn't say anything. Father had a really tired look on his face, it looks like he indeed slept outside.
When I finished my food, I said my goodbyes and left for my carriage to go to school.
I met Kelly and Silvia when I got down from the carriage. Kelly and Silvia were my only friend and also best friends.
We talked about so many things under a tree as we waited for class to start.
The bell was heard and we left to are class room.
