pov: Narrator
a woman in a long black dress, sat on a bench and began to talk to a group of children sitting in front of her.
"Very well children, this time I will tell you the story of the founders of this island."
the woman spoke calmly, letting her clear and melodious voice resonate.
"What?"
"the founders?"
"how cool!"
The group of children expressed their excitement in a low voice, as the woman began the story, while her voice was resonating in the air, from her hands a strange energy of fire was showing the scenes she was commenting on.
Ships manifested from her hands, men shooting on deck, while from the sky a group of dragons and gargoyles attacked the ship.
"Before this island was habitable, it was the base of the king of demons, the master of corruption, the one who put the world at a crossroads."
The images showed a man with wings, oversized horns and a sword with flashing eyes.
"the nations decided to respond quickly when they became aware of the threat, the elves, the orcs, the half-humans and the dragons were the quickest to respond."
Steam boats, with purple banners, carried sturdy men, tall, almost six feet, with pointed ears and fangs protruding from their jaws, their skin colored green, brown and black distinguished them, while they wore their leather armor.
The elves in their airship, mountain elves, frost elves, forest elves, united for the first time in thousands of years, looked steadily at their target, as they smiled at the orcs.
beside them on flying ships, half-humans, of different races, determined to join the cause.
On the other side creatures of great size were flying through the sky, majestic dragons were flying overhead.
"In spite of all the unions she was born human, she had no political representative, but a heroine or as she liked to be called, ha ha, Captain of the blood."
a large sized ship, she carried burly, dwarfed men on her deck, standing behind the helm, her hair waving in the wind as she led the group of thugs.
"she was not a great person, far from the best of them all, but when the threat came she was the only one who had the courage to gather her people and look straight into the danger."
"so what happened?"
One of the young men, impatient to know the rest, asked the woman at length.
"They united and they faced the abominable beings that came out of the jaws of that hell, creatures impossible to explain, beings that lived in fear and despair."
the elves shot arrows, their magic fell against the ground, the orcs brandished their weapons and ran straight at the creatures once their ship touched land, on the other hand the dragons were taking care of the creatures in the sky.
Tentacles loomed out of the shadows on the ground, winged and slimy beasts struck at the dragons, while other creatures made of a slimy substance attacked everything that touched land, among the place, an ice elf was freezing beasts as he advanced, behind him neutralizing those resisting his ice magic, a dark skinned orc, wielding his axe made of crystals, among them repelling distant enemies the blood captain, firing and reloading her various pistols.
"so it is as the ice elf Gladius, the cave orc Roth and the world's greatest pirate Elian, not forgetting the dragon ruler Genius, they stopped the evil in this land and closed the only entrance they had in this world, which is this very island, they left our people to protect that this entrance will never be opened."
"What happened to the heroes?"
The woman looked down, while her hands showed the entrance to the maw, the orc brandishing his weapon, stepping into the maw and preventing the demon king from getting out, leaving him locked inside, next to him.
the elf and the dragon who took a human form, gathered energy to close the jaws, the captain at the last moment jumped and took the Orc's hand reaching his side, both closed the pact in a kiss, but in a second he sent her out of the jaws while, the entrance closed and she lost him in front of her eyes.
"that loss, was something greater than imaginable, she kept waiting in case her beloved ever returned, but he never came back, the years passed and soon this story became a legend, little by little time passed and this place, which is the first defense of humanity, became a quiet place to live, and that my children is how this story ends."
"ohh how beautiful!"
"great!"
"I want to be like one of the founders!"
The youngsters were soon running around the place, congratulating themselves, while only one remained in place.
"What's wrong William?"
the woman slowly approached.
"We both know the truth of that story don't we?"
"William, don't be like that, your mother was very young."
the annoyed young man stood up and wielded his hand with will go, retorting the woman's words.
"She was my mother, she abandoned me, in her 20's she was the heroine of the world, but in her 45's she abandoned me without looking back, here on the backside of the world!"
He stood up while crying and ran away shedding tears.
The woman silently sighed as she watched him leave and let out a whisper.
"I'm leaving you to protect you William."
Yet those words never reached the young man's ears, for that night, something completely changed those years of peace.
