Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Key card

The World Tree, an existence unique to the Elven world. No one knows what its powers exactly are or what it represents. There are only speculations. One is, the World Tree is a tree being part of nature. Indicating that the elves are very close to nature.

Another is that the World Tree a physical incarnation of the world spirit is. Because the World Tree is one of the reasons no one dared to invade this world. The World Tree has unimaginable powers. And again no one knows exactly what kind of power. Of course, there are many other speculations but these two are the main ones.

Only the World Tree knows its own power. One being, able to observe fate, karma, or how others would describe it as cause and effect. Being able to nudge and influence fate even in the smallest of ways has saved and protected the Elves since their birth.

It also resulted in the Elven world becoming Tier 7 world in only 3 Eras. Having lived since the dawn of the Elven world he has seen generations come and go. Guided the Elves from the very beginning.

A little while ago he felt a change in fate. His senses locked onto a weird metal contraption flying in the air. Inside he

And right now, while observing the fate of this very young man, he felt intimidated. The amount of fate this young man influenced, he has never seen before. It was like three whole worlds rested on this young man's shoulders.

In truth in a way this was correct. In order to birth Ben's full talent, he needed the full blessings of three worlds with the potential of becoming Tier 9 existences.

The World Tree was weighing down the pros and cons of trying to take advantage of fate to improve his world when he suddenly got a message from the World Spirit.

'We have permission to take advantage of the influence this boy makes on fate. The only condition, to nurture this boy into an undefeatable existence to fight the enemies of the Coalition of Order. This boy is born on Earth. A world having the potential to become a Tier 9 world. Earth is protected by the leading worlds of the Coalition.'

The World Tree was surprised at first. But when he thought about it, it made sense. Give and take. There had to be a reason for such an influential individual to be here. Elves are known for their amazing nurturing abilities.

But what the World Tree didn't expect was for Ben to not know anything about cultivation.

To have such an influence on fate, he had to be of an unimaginably strong race or family.

As his senses approached Ben, he felt something familiar. There was a familiar aura inside the inner pocket of Ben's jacket. 'A keycard for my inner sanctum?'

As a unique existence, the World Tree is a very wanted... resource, if you will. But him having a consciousness giving the privileged of refusing and fighting back. There are some special circumstances for exchanging favors or buying his time.

One of the abilities of the World Tree that is widely known is his ability to nurture and guide. The most talented youths from very influential families or races come from far and wide to train and be guided for a certain amount of time by the World Tree.

Of course, this doesn't happen much. Such a chance to be guided by the World Tree is a once in a 10 generations chance. His 'keycards' are unaffordable, at least by the high society. For the leading worlds, races, and families, they could afford it once a generation.

For the elves, however. If a talent was born, the World Tree would call out to them to be guided by him. The elves held this privilege.

"They come from Earth. A world that just joined the tiered worlds." The World Tree said.

His aura locked onto Ben.

"Do you have something for me, little one?" He asked.

Ben looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"The card you have in your pocket." The World Tree says.

Ben takes out the card given to him by his father. Pure white shimmering runes run across its surface. A picture of a massive tree is seen on both sides of the card. 'Yggdrasil' it read in bold marble letters.

"You have a marble-card!? Such a card is only seen once an era!" Luna voiced out excitedly.

Ben didn't know what that exactly meant. But by the looks he got from the elves in front of him, it is a very big deal. "Marble-card? What does that mean?"

This question infuriated most if not all elves present. "You don't even know the significance of the card you're holding right now?" Some yelled at him in Universal language, but there are also a lot that yelled at him in gibberish, which Ben understood is Elvish.

"Silence! You are cultivators, your memories are almost infallible. Didn't this young man just say he didn't know anything about cultivation, about the universe he just joined, fools?" The World Tree reprimanded the Elves.

"A marble-card holds a huge significance, it means you'll get a lifetime of guidance from me. And on your first entry, you'll be able to take 5 other people with you." The World Tree explained.

Without further notice space warped and Ben, his friends, and Luna disappeared from the place they were standing.

"Princess Luna!" the guardian called out. But got held back by a fair hand of the Queen of the Forest. "Don't be rash. The World Tree won't let anything happen to Luna and you know it."

"But what about King Orion?" The guardian is absolutely scared out of his mind. He was appointed to be Luna's guardian for a reason. To protect her and get her home safe. Everyone knows how protective the King is of his daughter.

And now she is taken by the World Tree and the worst part; she cannot start cultivating yet. The time she is in there is wasted on completing her constitution. At least that is what the guardian thinks.

"Don't you worry about that. I'll speak with my son." A relieved sigh came from the guardian.

"Now we just have to wait until they come out." An excited glint flashed through the eyes of the Queen of the Forest. She wonders what the future will bring. For mortals to have a marble-card is a huge deal. It means a world is getting backing from at least multiple high Tier 8 worlds or a Tier 9 world.

But what she didn't know was that she wasn't far from the truth.

"Let's get these humans someplace to sleep and give them some food. We'll think about what to do with them later."
