The ambulance came quickly. The girl was transferred into it. She was losing a lot of blood. She got a seizure on their way to the hospital. It looked like things were beginning to get out of control.
A car drove behind the ambulance. The bonnet had the blood of hers. The man and woman looked tensed. Their heart going crazy. They could not believe what just happened. The husband wanted to cover for his wife who was driving and lost her control. The wife was back to her senses. "Isha, our Isha," she kept saying and crying.
"Will you stop Neema?" Husband shouted.
"Rob, no, Isha, we must save her," Neema said instead. Rob was growing tired of it. He could not accept how things have turned into either but he did not wish to quit or put an end to his life. Neema looked like she had given up.
Rob wanted to have a peaceful evening and took Neema out for dinner. She insisted on driving. But little did he expect that the rain and the traffic would trigger her, leading to the another worst accident. Rob quickly shifted places with Neema and pretended to have driven, but the girl Neema hit, it looked like things are going to get difficult. Rob wondered what he should tell the cops. But he was sure that the cameras would have captured the reality.
"Isha, we are coming for you. Stay strong," Neena kept praying and chanting. Rob wiped his tears. They reached the hospital and stepped out. The girl was rushed to the emergency ward. The doctors rushed to treat her. She was taken to the operation theatre immediately.
"She will be fine, she will be fine," Rob consoled Neema.
"Get these medicines and injections. And we cannot promise but we will try our best. There are brokens bones, ribs, and several internal injections, luckily no damage in the spine, but the head injury is severe," one nurse explained everything to Rob. Rob froze. He got the similar worst feeling like he got couple of years back one night similar to this when he got the call during his work. A flashback it was. Rob began to grow anxious. He took the list and walked back to the pharmacy in the front.
"Give me these," said Rob. He began to grow pale. He got some water and drank them. The surgeries began in the operation theatre. Everyone was desperate to save this young girl they have no idea who it. They wanted her to live a good life.
The pulses began to go down. The doctors decided to give her CPR. They tried a couple of times, it didn't work. And when they were about to give up, she began to show improvement, fighting back. The doctors sighed in relief and continued with the operation. The neurosurgeon was the one who felt bad for her the most among other doctors. He was young so he could feel and understand what an ill fate it is to get into such an accident. It took nearly 14 hours to complete the surgery and step out of the operation theatre. Rob and Neema were waiting out side. The neurosurgeon was the last one to step out looking at her for the last time. "Shift her to the special ICU or if needed, the ventilator," he said.
"How is she? Rob rushed to ask. Neurosurgeon Kyle took a deep breath. "She..."
