Chapter 22 - Kyle

"She.. the girl, she survived. We saved her, she fought hard, she is good now," Dr. Kyle told Rob. Rob cried.

"Oh my god. Thank you, thank you so much," Rob kept saying. We will keep her in ICU and under observation. Let us see if she gains conscious in 48 hours. Major surgeries done. It will take some time," Kyle said and left.

He kept thinking about her. There was something about the girl that looked very familiar. "Have I seen her before somewhere?" he wondered. He looked at himself as he washed his hands. He had her blood on her. He decided to change his uniform and put on his clothes. Kyle took off the short whoke Dr. Mira walked in. She also accompanied him in the surgery.

"Vitals are normal," Mira said. Kyle nodded his head and changed quickly. "Going home?" she asked him.

"Hmm yes," Kyle nodded. "Have not gone for two days now. I better get some sleep and relax."

"You must go, don't work like this," Mira said looking at Kyle.

"You may change, Bye," Kyle said and left the room. He got off duty. And he decided to join only by the afternoon they next day. Mira also left after him.

Kyle got in his car and drove away from the hospital. His apartment is nearby the hos itself. He put on a soothing classical music music and listened to his. He always loved the piano parts. Kyle's first dream was to become a pianist. But his family was so against it since both his parents are Doctors. He had no choice but become one like them. But when he graduated he decided to never work at their family hospital. That was the way he rebelled. Becoming a neurosurgeon was not his plan, but he became an expert anyway. Kyle parked his car and got out. He remembered something suddenly. He recalled attending a concert a few weeks backs. He stopped walking. He recalled the tuned, then he recalled the person. "Holyshit, it is her," Kyle was shocked. He immediately called the hospital.

"Hello, City hospital, how I may I help you?" the receptionist asked.

"This is Kyle, I need to ask something urgently," he said.

"Dr. Kyle, I will forward the call," Receptionist said and connected to his department night duty office.

"Hello," Dr. Sam answered the call.

"The patient we operated on now, how is she?" he asked Sam.

"Vitals are strong, no issues," Sam informed.

"Are there injuries in her arms, or fingers?" Kyle asked that straight.

"I did not notice that," Sam said and got up.

"Go check quickly," Kyle urged him.

"Wait, oh god Kyle. What is wrong with you?" Sam complained.

"Check," Kyle said only that.

"No," Sam said, observing the patient closely. "No injuries or wounds in the palm or fingers but few scratches here and there," Kyle was told.

"Okay, thank god," Kyle felt relieved.

"Why?" Sam asked curiously.

"Make sure she is fine. She is a budding artist," Kyle said and hung up. He took a deep breath and walked into the elevator. He opened the door and walked in, taking his blazers off. He took a bottle of water and drank them. He felt too lazy to eat dinner as he felt exhausted and quickly slept. "I hope she gets better," that was all he had in his mind.
