Surreal, yet non-existent. Alluring, mysterious. Crimson stars moved, afloat, everywhere, some are shining, while some are stationary. Yet, as if to emphasize the mystery of this domain, accompanied by the stars, is a gray fog that seemingly hides whatever is beyond of one might see...
There, a Figure appeared. It chuckled.
"We meet again", it spoke.
However, no matter how hard Xuyin tried to speak, she was akin to paralyzed.
"What will happen, well, it's 'had happened' for you, isn't it?", the Figure cut Himself off, but continued.
"What will happen, is predetermined. Why shall I do this, one might wonder, will just be my respect as well as formality to whomever will feel respected."
Silence ensued. However, Xuyin's mind was nothing but silent.
'Heh, formality for such "Beings"? Isn't that thrilling for one as powerful as you all? Just hearing your voice should have already crushed the body of my little girl doppelganger'.
"Would you mind if I graft your thoughts to the space around here?", He asked, smiling. He didn't comment about the second part of her sentence at all.
'No, we already talked before. It doesn't make a difference. Setting that aside, I couldn't have expected You to be as talkative as You are now', she answered in her mind.
"Indeed...", He muttered. He continued, "You know what will be happening".
Xuyin didn't reply. She readied herself. Her surroundings changed. The air of mystery as well as the suffocating sight of fog, were all gone. What was in front of her was now, a set stairs.
"Hey, hey", she heard some clamoring. Stairs. To be specific, it was a set of stairs that lead to a lower floor. She tried going down. However, the expected sound of footsteps wasn't heard. When she looked down, she discovered that she was floating. She continued heading down.
"So? Now that the victim is dead, how are we gonna find the key and the door? Huh?!", it seemed like a fight was happening.
"Hey hey, let's calm down, okay?" a rather younger man tried to placate the rowdy man.
"Zhou, Zhou Mingrui you piece of crap, you dare say that while you were the one who lead us to this current shit show we're in?!"
"I admit it's partly my fault. Admitting it now wouldn't change anything though", the young man calmly answered while putting his right hand on his chin.
After that statement, however, instead of calming down, the man got more irritated.
It was then that a relatively older...dude went between the two, "Now, now, Zhou didn't do anything wrong. All he did was provide information he thought would be helpful. He was right, just that we are unfortunate. Hey, missy, let me touch those twin peaks and I, Huang Tao, would be sure to solve this myster-".
Slap.
A crisp slap resounded. The room went quiet. The woman wrapped her arms around her chest as though it would be violated by the man she just slapped.
Xuyin watched all of these while floating. Familiar yet at the same time, unfamiliar. She already saw these group of people before but not in their usual lively appearances.
"Heh, isn't this exciting...", she muttered, amused.
However, she just floated. She could not interact with the people around her. She was comparable to a spirit floating around. No, actually, she was indeed a spirit floating around. After all, the victim in question, had her face on it. It was...Xuyin.
"Hey, I understand what that dude's trying to do but why do I have to be the victim?", she pouted. A pouting female Amon. Pfft.
The discussion inside the room continued.
"So, this girl was tortured and violated various ways. There's a Hello Kitty stuffed toy that suggests something, isn't there?", the girl earlier made her input.
"Yea. This infamous crap. See, Mu Do? Mingrui is right, no?", Huang Tao added.
"Right? Yeah, right my ass. He bitched us while acting as though he knew everything, and here we are, standing around a dead, Hello Kitty mishmash of a human, aren't we?"
Zhou Mingrui kept his mouth shut, seemingly in thought.
"Doesn't that just proved how useless you are? Humor me this, a kid a few years younger than you actually knew about this case and you didn't? Rack your brains a little, Buzzwole. What a wackjob you are."
"Stop arguing. Too many people died already. The system of this game haven't reached the quota for the number of deaths in a game. If we keep arguing like this, most of us will be claimed by that cocoon monster. Do you all want to hang around the lobby inside of a cocoon? Huh?"
Arguments were thrown back and forth. Xuyin was getting bored. She was yawning, rolling around, hating that she can't do anything beside witnessing this event that's happening, similar to a catfight.
Based on what she knew, this was an instantaneous transmigration survival event. As for what this event is for, it was Celestial's plan for his reawakening. He gathered all of these people to act as his backdoor when "it" happened. Something that Amon, when he was transmigrated, told Him.
In short, they were, what would be, His inheritors. If you could call that "inheriting" of course. There's already the first in line though...
