"My Ophelia came to attend the feast this year! Looks like the gods are really looking out for us". The crowd again fell silent this time the silence was accompanied with a stiffness as if the air suddenly changed states and solidified. Every eyes not only turned to the angle from which the voice was coming from but their bodies also straightened. They were like soldiers whose commander caught slacking off on duties.
"Mona Serinna, why didn't you call for me to come help you over. What if you tripped? Come, come, I will lead you to your seat" Parteia quickly walked forward to meet the woman. Even now the only signs of aging she has is her long grey hair that is gently swaying in the air as if it is in a different dimension from the already stiff atmosphere in the feast pagoda. She is of an average height but her image in the eyes of the crowd is of a gaint looking down on man kind. Could their eyes be playing tricks on them? No! Mona Serinna has the ability to create illusions in the mind of anyone as long as the person was afraid of something.
Mona Serinna looked past Parteia to a corner were a young girl whose age couldn't be easily guessed was sitting cross-legged on the floor like the frozen atmosphere or the woman speaking had nothing to do with her. She was only wearing a slight frown on her face but still didn't say anything or make a move. With the many eyes following Mona Serinna's movements, it was not long before those eyes fell on Ophelia. She was radiating a shimmering light that formed an halo around her. This halo did not in anyway affect the girl's beauty. You could look many times and still not be able to describe her features. The only thing you would remember was that she was the most beautiful you had ever seen.
Apart from Mona Serinna who hastened forward with much worry vivid in her eyes and A Parteia frozen on her spot from the awkwardness of been neglected, every other person was looking on with awe as if time had especially stopped to acknowledge Ophelia's glow. That's the strong one though, the weak ones were already closing their eyes as they couldn't afford to look on recklessly or they might lose their eyes.
"Most she glow like that." "What recklessness! she acts like it's such a great ability". "God, I could have lost my eyes".
There was grumbling everywhere from the weak ones who had now taken several steps backwards. Only the few remaining where wondering whether their brains had stopped functioning as they couldn't even come up with one adjective to describe this goddess they where looking at. Yes she is a goddess level beauty.
In the midst of all the commotion, Mona Serinna still continue walking towards the girl.
