"It was a quick dropping in the office to pick up something, so I left her in the car as she wanted. But man, I panicked when I saw her push the door. I thought it was my last daylight when it fired."

Jacob exhaled, rasping. Everything is evident in his memory. From Angeline pushing on the glass door to the fear that licked her face seeing him bloody on the floor. Her palm's swift movement caught the locust intended for him sitting on the floor helplessly.
Jacob closed his eyes tightly. Fear prevailed in his mind at the image etched in his
memory. He didn't want to think that such a scene would happen again. Never with Angeline around.
