"W-WHY you sound angry?" She asked, alerted.
"Damn it, tell me," Jacob commanded. "Were you pretending all along?"
She took another backward step.
"Don't you dare disappear in my eyes, right now…" He warned with his eyes cold, glancing at Angeline. "Let's take our mask down now...."
"I… I'm sorry. I don't understand why you are angry with me? What have I done exactly to see you like this?"
"Damn you. I didn't ask for your help.…." He snapped, his hands were trembling as if controlling his emotion.
"What?" she asked, her face pale and her heart pounding hard. Her brain was in a rocket remembering a bloody scene. Suddenly it doomed her what was ailing the man in front of her.
"No more games, Angeline..." He sounded furious. He grabbed both of her shoulders and shook her almost violently that her feet seemed not touching the floor.
