She kept struggling when suddenly someone attacked the two men. The bulk of the body moved so fast that she could not see it. It's like a shadow with speed. His actions are like a rush of agility. Then she saw Jacob. Before she could move, he was beside her.
He helped her to rise, and she leaned on his chest. He was gasping for air. He was constantly running around looking for her.
"It frightened me when I didn't see you where I left you." His lips made contact with her forehead.
"Men were trying to get me into the car..." She felt his arms pressed around her.
"We better keep moving. I smell danger in the air," Jacob muttered and started walking fast with his arm on her back. She looked back and saw the shadow's owner disappearing in the darkness.
Jacob picked her up and started running without a word, and he quickly hid behind the walled corner when voices approached.
"They're gone," she said after a while in a whisper. "Where's your car?"
