Chapter 3 - Helped By A Handsome Mysterious Man

"You look dead tired," he pointed out. His eyes were sympathetically surveying Angeline. "It's better to discuss it some other time. I'll get in touch with you. For now, get some sleep as I need it as well."

She wanted to dispute and find out what he meant. Curiosity was killing her, but she was too exhausted, so she just nodded.

Oh, there are many opportunities for talking, her mind justified even though curiosity aroused her sense of what he meant. Also, she was not in the proper disposition to talk to the man. She might embarrass herself dozing in front of him.

When she did not hear him speak, she leaned gently on the backrest reclining seat and shut her eyes. She wanted to sleep because she had been awake for a few nights thinking about her problem. On impulse, she rubbed the surface of her tummy. She slowly caressed it. When she looked to her left side, the man was almost in the same order as she was. He was leaning on his seat, and his eyes were closed.

She studied his profile. She noticed that he needed shaving. He looked haggard, and with that dark circle under his eyes, she could figure out that he was into some sleepless nights. Or it could be those nights engrossed in the case study of his clients.

What's going on with this guy? He looked like he was in a shamble. Her running thoughts wandered. Until her eyes slowly dropped, and she drifted to sleep.

Jacob's eyes silently followed the woman who seemed to hurry to disembark. He looked around the tarmac with many people. He could no longer see Angeline. She quickly disappeared from his eyes.

He radiated a deep moan of displeasure. Ah, this is going to be another day of chasing that woman. The voice calling his name disrupted his running thought.

Meanwhile, Angeline walked directly to the women's toilet. She was constantly peeing. Her gynecologist said that it's normal for a pregnant woman. She found the symptoms of a pregnant woman too distressing for her. What made her different from the average pregnant woman was that she was not dizzy or thirsty for strange food that she did not normally eat. The strangest thing she felt in her body was her frequent urinating.

It was too early for her nineteen-year-old to be a mother, but as they say, expect the unexpected. And she agreed with what the elders said. She did not plan to have children as early as her age. But it just happened out of her control.

How did that happen? She had a great time. Too much fun led her to drink a margarita. She realized the next thing was waking up in a yacht stateroom with a man, naked like she was. She was on the verge of looking at his face when a scream frightened her. She overheard there was a fire outside. She panicked and hurried to dress, rushed out of the shack.

She even met with groups of people who were rushing around. She had a bit of a scare. She looked around and noticed a handsome man who was watching her closely.

"This way, miss..." he said in a cold voice. "It is difficult to keep up with many people."

She quickly followed him when she saw other people running in the same direction.

"Do something for me," he asked.

She stared at the formal shape of his face. He didn't have the suspicious façade. He was like a man of means in his manner of dressing. She eyed his expensive wristwatch, and the clean skin told her he was like a prince. It's a symbol of being rich and well-cared.

She frowned at what she heard. She looked back at her.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but it's better if you don't know anything about me..." she said with a timid smile. "I'll find you once this is over..."

"Okay, no problem. You'll reach your destination safely," Angeline promised, nodding. Then her eyes focus on the front of the car.

The next moments were quiet in the car. Vehicles are moving slowly, but there was no obstacle even when she took the woman in a taxi.

From the rear-view mirror, she could see Pepito was just behind her. She quickly exchanged the car and claimed her motorbike from Pepito.

A smile tugged her lips when the wind touched her face. It's the reason why she prefers riding it to the car, especially during traffic hours. She can get home faster on a motorbike. Most of all, she was anxious to feel the gust of wind hitting her face. It made her relax.

From inside a car, Jacob was shaken by what he saw. He recognized the girl who came out of the vehicle. After putting on the helmet, she quickly rode on it. Her motorbike even passed where he was stuck and disappeared from sight.

ANGELINE gently applied her back to the door leaf of her bedroom. And her deep sigh released into the air before stepping towards the foot of the bed. She was slid down until she could sit on the floor. Her tired body leaned on the side of the bed.

Her eyes passed through her bedroom. She felt like she was alone in the world. She felt a tightness in her chest. And like a child, she hugged both of her knees with her chin on top of it. She dreaded these moments, being alone in her darkroom like the previous nights.

Her faint sobs filled the room, and she didn't know what to do at the minute. She needed to vanish from this world of issues or run some lovely place where no one knew her name.

Why does this have to happen to me? Why am I in love with a man I don't know? But one night with him equals so many years of happiness that in his arms, I only felt?

She heaved a sigh and stood up and lay down in her bed. She let go of her tears freely streaming down her cheeks. She closed her eyes. She wanted to forget the whole damn world.
