Delia sat boredly in the car, staring through the car window as she supported her chin with the back of her palm.
The car door beside her pulled open.
Without turning around, her mind didn't waste time to recognize who it was just from the scent of his strong cologne.
Damien sat next to her, pulling the door shut before turning in her direction. He stretched out for her shoulder. "Del-"
She shrugged his hand off, refusing to spare him a gaze.
He sighed. "Delia?"
"What!"
She narrowed her eyes through her veil, watching the opposite side of the road keenly.
Damien sighed once more, "Del, I'm sorry-"
"You know you just literally kicked me out like some office secretary fling, right!?" She finally turned to face him.
He scratched the back of his head. "I know... And that was my intension, I'm sorry. I just..."
"What was so serious and confidential that you couldn't let me stay in the meeting with Alice, huh?"
