"Hmm... What do you think about it?" Marjorie had closed her eyes for a moment after hearing Lynn's idea, she was about to tell her to keep quiet while she helping her peculiar disciple, but on second thought, she could delegate that job to her and just enjoy the moment, so she asked Blake's opinion.
"Well, I guess I don't have a good reason for refusing. I hope you can help me." Blake thought he had read Marjorie's thoughts correctly, and although he had some doubts, he was only looking for information that most of the Futhark inhabitants could have an answer to, so Lynn curiously met all the requirements.
"That's perfect!" Lynn expressed different feelings of joy, she would be lying if she said that she wasn't curious about Blake after learning about his disciple status, and that was because she knew full well that Marjorie had never had an official disciple. "But before we start, I have a question."
Lynn's gaze fell on Marjorie's figure, and knowing what it meant, Marjorie gave her permission to ask whatever was on her mind, so Lynn turned her attention to Blake as she leaned her body on the table, which would be enough to get a scolding if his mother was present.
"Why do you want to know about such basic things?" Perhaps Lynn's question was a bit insensitive after seeing Blake's seriousness on the subject, but she could compare the situation to how she was going to explain to a child that she had to breathe to live. Maybe not that exaggerated, but Lynn was curious.
Regardless, Blake understood Lynn's question, and after looking at Marjorie and noticing that she had nothing to say against it, he began to tell her about his situation. It was quite simple and summarized, he told her about him coming to town and his memory loss, and how he had lived for almost the last month.
"That... That's the last thing that would have occurred to me, you really don't remember anything?" Lynn had already had enough time to analyze what Blake had just told her, so now she understood the situation better, but she still thought that Blake had been through a lot.
"No, nothing at all." Although Blake had lied a bit in that regard, he believed that it was better to keep some information to himself. He had only shared his real name with a few people, including Shino and Marjorie, but he thought that was enough for now, and it would feel a bit strange if everyone suddenly started calling him Micah, or so he thought...
Maybe it was true that Lynn might know something if he mentioned his family name, but if Marjorie hadn't said anything about it, it was better to leave it that way.
"I see... If you remember anything don't hesitate to tell me, I'm sure I can help you... Although I won't be in town for long, and I'm sure Major Marjorie can do something about it..." Blake thanked Lynn for her words despite his peculiar thoughts, but he couldn't say anything more since she had more to say. "Now I understand everything. Don't worry, Blake. Since I offered myself as support, ask all you want, I can even teach you how to read and write if necessary. You can also consider it as another apology for what happened in our little meeting."
Lynn's comment had given Blake a bad memory and Marjorie just narrowed her eyes before going back to her tea.
"I appreciate the intent, but luckily I didn't forget how to read and write." Blake waved his hands in front of Lynn as he said that to further emphasize his refusal.
"I understand… Then I remain at your disposal, what would you really like to know?" With all said, Lynn wanted to start the little learning session. She was getting a little excited about the new experience, she even told him that he could refer to her as a teacher, but she got depressed when he told her that he'd rather not.
Blake was getting ready, days ago he was organizing his thoughts, all of them generated from his experiences to know exactly what to ask, but before starting, his sight was caught by a kind of notebook next to a pencil that was pushed by Marjorie.
"I realize your memory is good, but more questions will surely come up as you listen to everything Lynn says." Marjorie knew about Blake's curiosity, and he thanked her for thinking about it, so he would make sure to use it.
"Well... My master already explained a bit, but how is the world really divided?" Blake thought it was good to start with a subject that he had some knowledge of so that he could compare what he knew with the information that he would receive.
"If you mean the geographical aspect then it's easy if we don't go into too much detail... Well, we can start from the biggest to the smallest." Before starting, Lynn took another taste of her cup of tea since she would need to talk a lot. Marjorie had also served Blake a bit, so everything was ready to begin. "First of all, we can start from astronomical knowledge."
Blake at least understood that concept, though he didn't think Lynn would start her explanation from that level, he didn't interrupt her since he figured it was good to know something about it as well.
"The planet we inhabit is known by the name of Futhark, it is one of the seven planets that make up the Einang solar system, and all of them revolve around the central star, this being the sun we all know… Do you understand what I am saying?" Lynn was now remembering all those boring classes she had taken when she was a child, but she was grateful not to be ignorant and just throw that knowledge away. She asked that question because he almost forgot that Blake didn't know about some concepts, but when she heard from his own mouth that he understood everything, she didn't stop any longer. "Okay, if you want to know something more about the planets and stars, you better investigate on your own, so let's go to the next thing. Futhark is indeed a planet, but at the same time it is called many times after the world we inhabit, and that reason is quite simple."
Lynn put a lot of emphasis on that description, which got Blake's attention.
"I suppose you already know this, but besides Futhark, there is another world that seems to coexist in some strange way with ours, and that is precisely the forest of beginnings."
