Chapter 278 - Day 278: A good deed (IV)

[Farming skill, increased.]

That voice notifying that another skill had leveled up served to signal to Blake that he was done with his little job. Right now, he was at his farm, he wanted to plant the monster grass seeds as soon as possible, and the fact that the earth was still wet saved him a bit of work, although his boots felt uncomfortable since some mud was stuck to them.

"Now we just have to wait, Shara said that monster grass can grow in all seasons except winter, so I shouldn't worry too much, maybe just that the soil doesn't lose quality... Although I don't really know how to do it." Blake was done with his wooly mission, and after saying goodbye to Shara he returned to the Sharance tree to take care of a few things.

Even though he still felt a little guilty about lying to Shara, he was at least glad to see that she had a big smile when she saw him in his wooly form, which made him think that maybe he should go for that cake she promised him in the future.

Everything seemed to have been resolved and the situation where Blake was thinking about what to do next reappeared, but as if the plot required it, the sound of steps rapidly approaching him totally captured his attention.

"Blake, listen! The golden wooly came to see me!" That voice filled with emotion clearly belonged to Shara.

Once the wooly had said goodbye to her, the first thing she wanted to do with her was to run to find Blake, but she still had to take care of the store. Her grandfather had just returned and left him in charge of everything without explaining anything to him.

"Oh, really?" Blake acted somewhat surprised so that Shara wouldn't notice anything strange.

"Yes, I was very surprised!" Shara's somewhat nervous movements were noticeable since she still couldn't believe what had happened recently. "He was so cute, soft, and fluffy! I would have loved to hug him!"

Although Shara wanted to explain to Blake what had happened, she couldn't help but let those thoughts escape, and she blushed a little when she realized what she was saying.

"Haha..." Blake just chuckled since he maybe he should prepare for that if the situation arises.

So, Shara began to explain that small event in great detail, Blake simply nodded or asked some questions, although he also knew perfectly well what had happened.

"I'm happy for you, Shara. It's good that you were able to meet him again."

"Thank you, that little concern that she felt has finally vanished... By the way, I wanted to give you this." Shara soon took out many green bottles that Blake already knew.

"Formula A?" He didn't know why Shara was giving him this sudden gift.

"Yeah. It's not much, but it's my way of thanking you for your help finding the wooly."

"Help? But that had nothing to do with me, you have nothing to thank me for." Blake said that without thinking too much.

"Maybe that's true, but I have a feeling that you did more than you think, and I would feel better to thank you for it." Shara had a confident look on her face as she said all that. "So don't argue anymore and just take it!"

"Then… Thank you very much. I'm glad I was of help…" Blake couldn't refuse after Shara's words, although he supposed that all of this was beneficial for him.

"Hehe, I'm the one who should tell you that. Thank you, Blake." And as always, Shara gave off that joy that was quite characteristic of her, which made Blake understand that she was feeling much better.

After that, Blake showed his crops to Shara. She became very interested in the cherry herbs that were almost fully grown, and she mentioned that they all looked very good quality, even better than before.

Blake also told her about Baal, and she got excited about it all over again. They both went to the barn and found the little wooly who was now awake and lazing around, but his small tranquility vanished when he was caught by Shara's arms and began to be hugged and filled with caresses... Although in the end he really enjoyed the situation since Blake was there, so he felt safe.

Shara had said goodbye after playing for a long time with Baal, and Blake said goodbye to her too. Tranquility was once again taking over the Sharance tree as now the sun's rays graced all the fields making for quite a nice sight, but Blake didn't appreciate that moment much as he was rushing to the upper area of his home.

{Weeding help.

Client: Daria.

My paints are gone! I need my assistant!}

"Well... I can imagine what it's about this time." Blake spoke to himself after reading the letter in his mailbox. It seemed that his colorful friend needed his help again, although Blake felt that Daria was just a little lazy. "Anyway, I hope she's at her house."

Before leaving, Blake had gone back down to the farm fields to gather many colorful herbs. In addition to him needing them for Daria's possible commission, he also thought of giving her a lot more of them as some kind of gift. He knew they would be useful to her even if she didn't need them right now, so it was a good idea for him.

His steps now had taken him along the same path leading to the Privera forest, but he turned aside to the cabin he had already seen several times. He approached the door to realize that it was open, he did not hesitate to enter since he remembered that Daria had permitted him to do it whenever he wanted, so he had no problems with it.

Blake shook his head slightly due to Daria's carelessness since, after glancing around, there wasn't a single trace of her, so it is most likely that she was not there at that moment.

The first thought that occurred to Blake was to wait a bit, if she was a long time coming back, he would just return home and try to find her another time, but while Blake was looking for a comfortable place to wait, something caught his attention and he didn't could just ignore it.
