{Upgrades: Process of integrating materials into weapons, accessories, and tools. Upgrades may or may not be beneficial depending on the materials used and offer some effects on said artifacts.
The current limit is ten upgrades, and the integration success depends entirely on the user's crafting and blacksmithing skill.}
"..." Blake was speechless. He looked back a few times at the information he had obtained from the system, and after heaving a sigh, he covered his face with his hand as he was experiencing various complicated feelings before concentrating on the information once more.
{Blacksmithing: Skill tied to the user's ability to work with metals or materials and transform them into weapons and tools. The system provides a simplified version of the art normally practiced in Futhark.}
"Could I really do this all the time?" Blake was referring with those words to the situation he was in now, he was not totally ignorant about the fact that he could look up some information thanks to the system, but now it seemed that he just needed to focus a little on some word and the system would give him a simple definition of what it meant.
Blake now felt that he had never used the system's true potential, which made him chastise himself a bit for it. He kept testing that ability that he had just discovered until he concentrated on something that piqued his interest.
{System: A prop given to the user by ??? with the objective of ???}
"Yeah, I should have guessed it wouldn't be that easy." Blake had just concentrated on the concept of the system only to be greeted with information that hid some very important facts.
Blake had been a little disappointed, but just by reading that he was able to discover some equally interesting things. The user was probably himself, and apparently someone unknown had given him the system for an uncertain purpose... It was a small thing, but Blake wrote it all down, the system had always been a mystery, but he could accept those words as some kind of clue even though he couldn't get much out of them.
In the end, he put all that aside for now, although the subject of upgrades reminded him of learning how to forge, and he would need help for that.
…
…
"Welcome!" That cheerful voice accompanied by the sound of the small bell above the flower shop door was the first thing that reached Blake's ears once he entered. "Good morning, Blake. It's weird to see you around here, hehe."
"You know that the flower shop is one of the places I visit the most in town." Blake knew that Shara was only kidding.
"It's true, but it's been a while since the last time. By the way, we received some cherry herbs that you grew, and we already produce very good quality seeds." Blake was interested in that, but then he remembered that spring was almost over so he couldn't take advantage of it… Although he also had an equally interesting idea.
"Thank you for telling me, it will be useful for me to buy in the future."
"Hehe, you're welcome. What brings you here? Are you coming to visit me? Shara was a little curious about Blake's plans, but she knew that she had come for something more, although she didn't miss the opportunity to joke around a bit.
"Well..." That had taken Blake a bit by surprise, but seeing Shara laughing at his expression made him simply say what was on his mind. "I came to ask you if you sell monster grass or seeds with which I can grow it."
"Ohh, are you raising some monster?" Shara was behind the counter, but she had used her hands to support herself on it at the same time that she moved excitedly towards Blake.
Once she noticed that, he began to explain everything that had happened the day before, and many expressions, as well as questions, came out of Shara as she listened to everything.
"Can I go see Baal?! Please!" Shara had held Blake's hands as she begged for the chance to go see the wooly.
"Of course you can, there is no problem."
"Great, thanks a lot, Blake!" Unlike before, Shara began to give off an even greater joy than anyone could feel if they got a little closer to her. "But I think that would be after I finish my job at the flower shop."
"Yeah, just make sure you tell me and I'll take you, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. I told Baal not to attack people unless he feels threatened, but I'd feel safer if I'm present." Blake agreed with Shara since he couldn't destroy her little dream.
"Don't worry, I won't act on my own… Then I guess you need monster grass. Actually, we don't sell it as such, but we have seeds so you can grow it yourself." Shara began to look for a small sample to show Blake. "The interesting thing is that, once grown, you can harvest it many times, although that affects the quality of runic energy in the place where you grow it."
Blake listened carefully to what Shara told him, but he was also busy reading the information the system had for him once he took the bag of seeds Shara had given him.
{Monster grass seed. Level 1
Once grown, cut it to feed your beloved monsters. It can be harvested multiple times.
Growing time: 3 days
Growth time after harvest: 1 day
Sale price: 30G.}
That information helped Blake understand a little more about the behavior of monster grass, plus it seemed interesting.
"Okay, I'll take enough to fill three areas of the fields." Blake had made his decision. It was something Baal would need, so he didn't give much thought to money.
"Perfect! It will be eight thousand one hundred coins." Shara smiled as she said that, making Blake feel the weight of losing his coins.
It was true that he had already made a small fortune in his time in the village, but he hadn't made a profit lately since he hadn't harvested the new batch of cherry grass, and this sudden purchase would take a while to recoup…
