The tranquility of the surroundings was quite remarkable at that moment, the sun was high in the sky making the spring heat still felt in the environment, there was a light wind that moved the leaves that adorned the trees, and some sounds were produced for the creatures that inhabited the forest combined with all that, and at the entrance of the Privera forest, a couple of figures advanced with some care.
"Um... Are you sure it's okay, Blake?" Blake heard that question from behind him, then turned to see Nana's expression.
"Something happens?" He couldn't guess what was on Nana's mind, so he had to ask that simple question.
"What I mean is, is it safe? I have never been to this forest and I don't know exactly what monsters inhabit it, is it safe for us to be here?" Nana hadn't thought of all that because of the excitement of helping Blake, but now that she was heading into the forest, she got a little nervous.
She couldn't say that she was well-versed in the fighting aspect, and although she could make use of her skills as an instructor to protect herself a bit from the monsters, she was still worried about the situation they were in, but Blake hastened to calm her down.
"Don't worry, I've ventured into this forest many times, and I don't think you know it, but I'm a wizard." Blake thought about saying that since he didn't want Nana to feel insecure, and he really had confidence that he could defend her if the situation called for it.
"Are you really a wizard?" Nana escaped her nervousness due to Blake's words, of course it wasn't strange that many people could use different types of low-level magic, but if you called yourself a wizard or a witch, that meant that you had already started your journey through that way.
"That's right... Although I don't think I have a way to prove it to you but believe in me." Blake couldn't think of anything that would serve as proof, but if Nana trusted him, it was enough. "Also... I think someone else can help us."
And following his words, Nana watched Blake search for something in his pocket, then took out a huge seed and threw it on the ground. That scene was somewhat strange for her, but after a few seconds, a surprised expression couldn't help but appear on her face.
"A magical seed!" At that moment, Nana remembered something important that her father had told her, and it was the existence of the magical seeds that were sold at Sharance's flower shop, so she could guess what Blake had used at that moment.
The seed had glowed a bit before it began to change, it was growing at an unbelievably fast rate and it wasn't long before the figure of a huge floating green sword appeared in front of Nana.
"So you know what it is. Nana, I present to you Shoku, she is my adventure partner." Blake introduced Shoku at the same time that she approached Blake as if she was excited about something. "I didn't take you out to eat, we are in the forest and I need your help."
Hearing that, Shoku stopped her eccentric movements before moving away from Blake's figure, and he knew that Shoku was throwing a tantrum.
"Don't bother, you can absorb some of my runic energy later, there's something I have to do first." Shoku was now under the shade of a tree, which indicated even more that she was upset since she loved the sunlight, but hearing Blake's new words, she reluctantly returned to him.
While all of that was going on, Nana could see the little spectacle perfectly, which made her want to laugh a little because of how Blake was suffering from his magic seed's attitude, though it had also caused a small smile to appear on her face already as she sensed the connection between them, which caused him to have his own thoughts.
'I think... I think Blake won't have much trouble relating to monsters.'
…
…
The situation had calmed down enough, Blake had just introduced Nana and Shoku again. Nana greeted Shoku as she sensed that she possessed enough intelligence to understand her, and Shoku waved slightly in greeting before Blake spoke again.
"Okay, listen, Shoku. I'm trying to tame a monster here in the forest, so you don't need to start attacking them, I need you to be Nana's bodyguard, she's a friend and she's helping me." Blake started to explain everything to Shoku, and she just was silent, but Blake took that to mean agreement as Shoku approached Nana in an overprotective manner.
"I'm counting on you, Shoku. By the way, I would also like to be your friend." Nana had quickly gotten used to Shoku, she didn't find her strange at all, it wasn't the first time she had seen a similar being, in her house there were some monsters with characteristics similar to plants, so she didn't feel uncomfortable with Shoku around.
She could sense the sincerity in Nana's words, and though she made no move to indicate that she agreed, both Blake and Nana noticed Shoku move a little closer to Nana, which caused them to chuckle.
With all that prepared, the whole group continued advancing at a faster pace than before, the surroundings didn't change much as nature surrounded them at all times, but it wasn't long before Blake was sure they had reached the main area of the forest, and that was precisely the place he wanted to reach.
This time there was no summoning gate anywhere, which further emphasized the tranquility of the surroundings. Blake was moving his gaze around the place, the brightness of the lake, as well as the farmland in the distance was nothing new to him anymore. He did not want to go further into the forest if possible, but when that idea seemed the most feasible to follow, it was the turn of a small smile to appear on his face.
"I found you."
