Chapter 243 - Day 243: Compliment (I)

Evelyn was about to ask Blake to show her the sets of clothes he had with him since she might have to do a little tweaking to make them look more ravishing once he modeled them, but before that, something else caught the attention of both.

"I give up, she's too stubborn!" Monica's angry figure appeared as she yelled those words with quite an annoyance.

She had just come out of what seemed to be the area where the girls' changed clothes, her steps were heavy and short, but she kept going until she reached Blake's side before hitting his leg with her foot.

"Why did you do that?!" Blake had jumped a little at the sudden pain, and that question expressed both his confusion and his annoyance with Monica's action.

The little orange-haired girl didn't even care about Blake's question and simply ignored him, turning her attention back to Evelyn.

"I tried everything, but she doesn't listen to me. I'd better leave it in your hands, teacher." Monica spoke her heartfelt thoughts to Evelyn, and she was quick to reply as she chuckled a bit initially.

"Hehe, I told you myself that I'll take care of her from the beginning, did you think Raven is a pushover?" Evelyn approached Monica at the same time she patted her head lightly before continuing. "Better help Sofia with the finishing touches, Nana will soon be done with her modeling and it's her turn to shine."

"Okay, I'll make sure she looks amazing!" It seemed that enthusiasm had returned to Monica after listening to Evelyn. She was about to return to the area from before, but she had first directed her gaze at Blake to stick her tongue out of her in mockery.

"Monica seems to like you, that's weird to see." Evelyn couldn't help commenting a bit when she saw the interaction between them… Although Blake still didn't understand why both she and Shara thought Monica liked him.

"I guess so... By the way, are you her teacher?" Blake remembered the way Monica called Evelyn, so he was a little curious.

"Oh, that. You could put it that way, she told me one day that she wanted to learn how to make clothes from me... Although after a few days, she gave up on that." Evelyn touched her cheek so that later a thoughtful expression appeared on her face as she remembered the small adventures with Monica. "But it seems that she found a kind of way, she became interested in creating accessories that I use in the clothing sets that I make, so I changed the teaching subject to that, and for that reason, she calls me a teacher. I don't want to brag since she's my student, but she's quite talented for it."

And though Evelyn had said those words, a proud look graced her face. Blake fully understood that and was a bit surprised by the relationship between the two of them, though the topic of conversation quickly changed.

"Anyway, I already prepared an area where you can change comfortably, I would like you to first use the outfit I made with fish parts so that you follow the order that already appeared on the catwalk, you don't need to rush since Sofia and Raven are missing for go out, but you'd better try it on if you haven't." Evelyn had pointed her finger at the area she designated for Blake, several curtains were neatly arranged to form one wall, so there was no way anyone was spying on him… Probably.

Blake nodded to her words before seeing how Evelyn also entered the area where the girls changed, Blake was about to go to the area that she told him, but then he felt how the curtain that led to the platform opened, leaving see a familiar figure.

"Blake!" Nana was surprised once she saw Blake as she didn't really expect to meet him there.

"Hi, good job there by the way." Blake greeted Nana first so that she would know that she was aware of her presence.

"Hehe, thank you very much. How do I look?" Nana had to say that she was happy to see Blake again, yesterday she had spent most of the day at the inn due to the rain, and although she was able to make friends with Sakuya and Pia, she wanted to investigate the town.

A new day had come, but even she herself didn't know how exactly she ended up in the current situation she found herself in, although she didn't mind being a part of the town's events.

"You look great, that color matches you very well." Blake observed Nana's movements a bit as well as the design of the clothes she was wearing.

"Thank you for the compliment, I really want to use my time in Sharance to do a lot of things, so I'm having fun right now." Nana said that since it wouldn't be long before she had to go back to Blossom Town. "Dad sent me a letter saying he's coming to Sharance in a few days, so call me if anything is interesting to do."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to do it... Although now that you mention it." Blake kept a silence that caught Nana's attention, but before she could ask, Blake continued talking. "I was thinking of taming a monster to help me on the farm, so if it's not too much trouble, I wanted…"

"Of course, count on me completely!" Blake couldn't even finish saying everything that was on her mind when Nana seemed to explode with great emotion.

He knew that Nana was an instructor, so she would possibly be very helpful in everything he had to do with monster taming, besides, Blake had many doubts about some aspects and wanted to ask her for advice.

Nana started talking non-stop after that without giving Blake a chance to understand half of what she said, and even though Blake tried a few things to stop her, time kept passing and the situation was still unchanged, but it was impossible not to see the excitement and the huge smile on Nana's face.
