"And when winter comes you must..." Nana felt a little short of breath, and that itself helped her realize what she had just done. "I'm sorry, Blake!"
On his side, Blake snapped back to reality and stopped trying to absorb as much of the information Nana was feeding him as he could.
"When it comes to taming monsters, I exaggerate too much!" Nana was continuously apologizing as she explained the reason for her behavior.
"Don't worry, Nana." Blake quickly said that to calm her down a bit. "Maybe it was too much information for me to comprehend at once, but I hope you can tell me all that again when we go to tame my first monster."
"Eh?" That expression came out of Nana after hearing Blake's words. "Do you still want me to come with you?"
"Of course, why do you ask?" And without Blake expecting it, he suddenly felt his neck begin to feel heavy, and that was because Nana had clung to him before starting to spin around him a bit, and Blake could barely complain as he had to concentrate on keeping Nana from falling.
"Thank you, Blake! I promise I won't let you down!" Again, enormous enthusiasm could be felt emanating from Nana, but that was also accompanied by a determination that began to burn strongly.
Blake just sighed a little at the attitude of his new friend, though it wasn't anything he hadn't experienced before. Nana's gyrations ended as she put her feet back on the ground and apologized once more to Blake, but this time it was because she realized that she was exaggerating.
They were both having a nice time, but they wouldn't be the only ones in that place.
"Hehe, it seems like you two want to gouge each other's eyes out, I don't want to join such a horrible conversation." Those words had made both Blake and Nana turn their attention as they could be said to be quite worrisome.
"Sofia…?" That question had come from Blake since he didn't directly recognize the dark purple-clad figure.
"Hello, Blake. Evelyn already told me that you were horrified by the idea of modeling, I hope you don't push yourself at all." Sofia was really conveying moral support to Blake… Although her words were still confusing. "Oh, I couldn't see you before, but you look horrible, Nana. It's like you're a rotten fruit on the road."
"Uh... thank you?" Nana answered as best she could. The first time she had come to town with the woolies, Evelyn had explained the peculiarity of her family to her, her father had also told her a bit about this, but Nana still couldn't get used to it.
"It's your turn, isn't it? By the way, you look great." Blake had already finished appreciating how Sofia dressed, and although it was something different from her usual style, anyone could tell that it combined perfectly with her.
"Thanks for the compliment, I'm sure you'll look like a bad painting when you come out, Blake." Sofia simply said goodbye after that leaving Blake with a peculiar expression...
"Trust me, you'll get used to it." Blake had turned his attention back to Nana at the same time he noticed her expression.
"I hope so... Well, I guess I won't bother you anymore, I also heard that you would participate and I won't miss it, see ya!" Nana said goodbye to Blake with those simple words until her figure disappeared behind the curtain that led to the girls' locker room.
Blake knew that he shouldn't waste any more time, so he repeated the same action, only he went to the place that Evelyn had prepared for him at the same time that he searched her inventory for the sets of clothes that had been there for a long time.
…
…
"Well... I must say that Evelyn is quite talented." Right now, Blake was looking at her reflection in a huge mirror.
He was wearing the set of clothes made from some fish parts that Evelyn had given him. By itself, it didn't differ much from the style he already had, but the interesting part was the colorful scales and some bone spines that adorned his clothing.
Blake thought that he was ready and was about to walk out of there, but before he could take a single step, his attention was caught by the small figure that had just opened the curtains and entered where he was.
"Sit down." That voice sounded incredibly serious and without a single hint of kindness. "Didn't you hear me?!"
Those very words, plus his annoyed tone, made Blake jump a bit, and even though he was about to complain, he subconsciously did what the little orange-haired girl had just told him.
Blake was sitting in a small chair in front of the huge mirror from before, but even so, he couldn't help but remain silent.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing you care about, just be quiet." Monica's voice was loud and clear, she was busy preparing some things and moving a bench near where Blake was sitting. "Teacher Evelyn told me to prepare you, so you didn't complain, I'm not happy helping you either."
Although those were her words, Monica had an expression of complete concentration as she climbed up on the bench and reached for Blake's head with a small brush.
Blake felt his hair being pulled suddenly, and though he experienced a little pain from it, he didn't make a sound as he realized Monica had started combing it.
"You don't need to put up with it, tell me if it hurts, that helps me comb your hair better too." Monica had already removed the kind of wooden tiara that Blake used to keep his hair in place, so she was just doing her job. "If you plan to leave your hair long, you should start taking care of it, you have it very tangled."
Monica started to speak, and although she seemed like she was directing those words at Blake, it was more like she was talking to herself due to her concentration.
Blake hadn't said anything else after that, firstly, because he knew he would only upset Monica somehow, and the other reason was that… He was really relaxing at that moment…
