Chapter 236 - Day 236: Denail (II)

Just as Blake remembered, that feeling once again washed over his body at that moment, though even so, the result that had just been displayed would be impossible to define due to it being almost non-existent.

A deep silence filled the surroundings at the same time that the light wind in that space slightly moved the leaves of the trees, it could even be said that, if not for that, perhaps that situation would have been confused with absolute time.

Blake had just released those words, but not a second had passed before the figure of the huge troll he was fighting quickly turned into the typical orb of light that meant it was returning to the forest of the beginnings.

It seemed that this was the end of that battle, but before Blake could celebrate, something was heard that broke the previous silence in the room.

"Crack!" And that loud noise had been the result of the strong blow of Blake's body against the floor of the place.

'Maybe… Maybe I shouldn't have done that…' That was the simple thought that kept running through Blake's mind and it matched perfectly with the moans of pain coming from his mouth.

On top of that, Blake visualized the familiar bars of his runic and life energy to realize that the same result had been repeated.

All of his runic energy had vanished as well as most of his life energy, and that explained why his body was experiencing that ache and exhaustion that not many wanted to feel on their own, although he could somewhat ignore the pain due to notifications that echoed in his head, and especially for the one that he was waiting for.

[Dungeon completed.]

The calm that hit him was enough for Blake to not even try to stand up… Although in reality he couldn't even if he wanted to. His eyes began to close slowly, he needed a moment of rest, and although he didn't feel very comfortable in contact with the ground, it wasn't long before small snores came from him and filled the whole place.

/Tuesday, Spring 21/6:00 AM/

[Sleeping skill, increased.]

That notification that hadn't appeared for days resonated in Blake's head, causing him to inevitably begin to open his eyes with some difficulty due to the artificial light of the dungeon where he was.

Blake rested his arms against the ground and then slowly got up until he was sitting in that same place, unconsciously bringing one of his hands to his face to rub his eyes trying to eliminate the small feeling of disorientation that tormented him.

"Well... I think I slept like a baby." It didn't take long for Blake to figure out where he was and what had happened, so he just let a small yawn come out of his mouth before beginning to stretch a little. "Sigh... I thought that maybe I could use it without finishing on the verge of death… Although I also have no other way to practice it."

Blake was analyzing everything that happened and experimented when performing the new variant of the timeless slash, he couldn't deny that it had become another of his hidden moves, but just like when he used absolute time, he would be in a bit of a bad position if he doesn't finish the battle in one move.

"So, as long as I don't go out, it looks like I can spend as much time as I want in this place, I guess that's good to know." Blake took in the surroundings a bit, though nothing was amazing to mention if you ignored the matrix with rune images that gave off a slight pink glow.

That was the exit, and when Blake realized that time kept ticking, he simply decided to leave the dungeon for a second later to appear inside his warm home.

But despite that, the daily tasks couldn't be kept waiting, so Blake went down the ladder in the direction of the crop fields to do the routine that he already knew quite well.

The growth of the cherry grass made Blake happy as a small green stalk could be seen growing in most of the plots, he had taken it upon himself to water everything and of course some skills would level up due to his hard work.

After finishing those small tasks and going upstairs to store all the materials he had obtained in the dungeon, it had again reached the point where Blake had no plan in mind, but it didn't last long as he remembered what he forgot to do the day before.

Blake heard the sound of a bell and looked up from him to see it attached to the door he'd just opened, though he didn't remember it being there. Long story short, Blake had gone back to the town smithy intending to ask about the monster stable, so he ended up going all the way inside and approaching the counter.

"Oh, good morning." There was nothing strange about the small greeting... But it could be said that that was the only normal thing at that moment.

"Gaius... why are you lying on the ground?" Blake's question was due to that precisely, behind the counter, Gaius was lying on the floor completely motionless, and the explanation he gave next did not make the confused expression disappear from Blake's face.

"This morning I dropped a piece of iron on the floor, I stared at it for about an hour, and the question of what it would feel at that moment came to my mind, so I'm imitating it." Yes, Gaius's explanation was too unnecessarily detailed.

Blake was looking for something to say after that… But the best thing he could think of was to just ignore him.

"Anyway, I came to ask you what exactly I need to build a monster barn?"

"Ah, so you remembered… Hmm… Well, don't worry about the payment this time, I just need you to bring me some materials, forty pieces of wood will be enough." Gaius spoke from the comfort of the ground.

"Are you sure? I wouldn't mind paying you if you're going to build it." Blake said that since he didn't want to take advantage of Gaius' kindness.

"I'm sure, though if you want to expand the barn, then I'll have to charge you for it."

"I understand, then I thank you. Right now, I don't have the wood with me, but I'll go get it right now." Blake didn't really know if he had enough wood, but he could always clear his farm fields a bit to get what he needed, so he used a quick teleportation to disappear inside the smithy leaving the figure of Gaius on the floor.

"Sigh... Why am I such a coward? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to become a piece of iron..." That question came out of Gaius once Blake disappeared, although only he knew what he meant by that.
