Blake felt that everything was happening in slow motion, from the moment Shoku began her charge against Shara until an impact was heard between them, which caused a shiver to run down his spine until it happened exactly that.
Shoku's figure collided completely with Shara causing both of them to fly backward until they fell heavily on the ground. Blake hurried over as fast as he could once he saw the scene in front of him, a hard-to-describe worry had risen in his chest, and that was because he expected to see a horrifying image next… But it seemed like he wouldn't be met with any of it.
"Hahaha, stop! You're tickling me, haha!" And those words combined with a loud laugh belonged completely to Shara, and that was due to the situation she was in now.
She was still on the ground, but if someone looked carefully, they would realize that her body was surrounded by the branches that came out of Shoku as she continuously rubbed with Shara as if she were a pet that hadn't seen its owner in a long time.
Blake let out a long breath. He wasn't going to lie, he really thought that Shoku had hurt Shara in some way, even worse… But now he was quite convinced that Shoku was quite happy to see her.
It wasn't very strange if Shara took care of her before giving her to Blake as a gift, and it was somewhat reassuring to see that little reunion.
Shara was able to break free of Shoku's grasp only to be helped to her feet by Blake and she quickly thanked him before turning her attention back to the floating sword.
"It's amazing, you have changed a lot, now I guess I should call you Shoku, right?" Shoku fidgeted continuously as if he was nodding to Shara's question. "Hehe, I guess that's because Blake has taken good care of you."
Shoku turned to where Blake was, and she actually froze for about two minutes before turning her attention back to Shara and shaking again, though without much emotion. Blake didn't know why, but he sensed that Shoku hesitated too long before giving her answer.
"I'm glad you get along so well. Can I ask you a favor, Shoku?" Shara was enjoying this as it was a new situation for her.
Something important to mention was that the magic seeds were quite unique creatures, it could even be said that they were some kinds of treasure since they possessed quite peculiar characteristics, although this was more noticeable with the really rare magic seeds.
Sometimes it was difficult to explain how they were formed, but in general, magical seeds are born in nature from a common seed that is exposed to large amounts of runic energy, this causes them to gain a small level of intelligence in addition to their unique characteristics, but everything to do with them is always under constant study by enthusiasts of magic seeds.
Many of them had beneficial powers, but they could be categorized depending on their characteristics. There are the seeds of attack and defense, these have aspects that are easy to compare with weapons or some type of shield, Shoku was a clear example of that.
Another category was the support seeds, this type was very varied since, in reality, there are too many of them, from seeds that help you navigate through the water, emit light at night, or even predict the weather, to those that in It's actually not very useful.
And finally, there would be those that cannot really be categorized since they are beyond anyone's knowledge, but especially, this type of magical seed was many times more problematic since the intelligence they possess is comparable to that of ordinary people, or even beyond that.
There are a few ways to force a magical seed to grow, that's a type of business throughout Futhark, but aside from being difficult, the seeds that result from that would be pretty generic. Again, Shoku would be a good example of this as it was not uncommon for magical seeds to appear that could take the form of swords.
The really valuable magical seeds would always be hidden from the world as they also have their survival instincts, but there would never be a lack of stories about seeds with incredible abilities. A very popular one was about a seed that took the form of a golem that was even bigger than many mountains and could create islands simply by pulling pieces of land out of the ocean with its bare hands…
Shara explained a bit of this to Blake before commenting on why she was so excited.
"As I told you, I was in charge of taking care of the magical seeds that we have in the store, so I know that they have intelligence and can understand me a bit, but in the case of Shoku it is something different since I really feel that she understands everything I tell her." Shara explained that in detail.
Blake had a somewhat thoughtful look, he also knew that Shoku was something special, the simple fact of having evolved in some way already proved it, but Blake felt that there was nothing wrong with that.
"I can sense that your runic energy is fully linked to Shoku, so perhaps that also played a role in the changes she underwent. Although she couldn't say for sure, it's the first time I've seen a magic seed change like this." Shara was also a little lost in her thoughts, but then she remembered what she wanted to say before. "I'm sorry, Shoku. It seems that I got very excited with my explanation and I didn't tell you what was the favor I wanted to ask you."
Shoku was still floating calmly, no one knew if she had her own thoughts about it, but she didn't seem to care that Shara had forgotten about her. Seeing this, Shara just smiled before expressing what she wanted to say.
"Shoku. Please take care of Blake. I don't know everything, but I'm sure he always gets into trouble, so I'd feel somewhat safe if you prevent him from doing a lot of dangerous things." Blake felt strange since Shara was showing a somewhat motherly attitude.
She was pretty sure that Shoku heard her words. Shara expected Shoku to shake as if he were nodding, but instead, her edge rose into the air at the same time as the sunlight seemed to reflect off of it... It was a very simple action, but it was enough for everyone to understand what it meant.
