"Thank you, Ragna. And don't worry, even though I felt confused and worried at first, I've gotten used to the life I have now…" Blake said that since Ragna had remained silent after what he had told him earlier.
"Don't mention it, maybe I actually pried too much. My sister always tells me that she spoke before thinking about the things I'm going to say, haha..." Ragna scratched his head a little and felt relieved that he hadn't upset Blake with his words.
"On the contrary, I appreciate your intentions… But, anyway, let's talk about something else. So you have an older sister, if I remember correctly you said her name was Candy, right?" Blake wanted to change the subject since there wasn't much else to mention regarding his situation.
"Yeah, but older sister Candy is not my real sister, I call her that as a way of respect, just like I called you brother Blake." Ragna quickly explained the little misunderstanding.
"That's right, I must say that it's the first time I've heard someone call someone else that way." Blake didn't want to mention it before, but he was quite aware of Ragna's way of addressing others.
"Haha, yes. I've heard it several times. It's quite common in Uruz to refer to others in that way or something similar, it's also a popular way that runics, wizards, and witches use to refer to each other, so basically I'm used to calling others that." Blake listened carefully as he understood the reason behind that. "And about older sister Candy, as I told you, she is the only Rune wonder I know, she has taught me many interesting things about the world, so I have a lot of respect for her, but besides her there is also my real older sister, her name is…"
But before Ragna could explain any further, it seemed that he had frozen in his seat as he looked past Blake's figure.
Blake realized this, he tried to get Ragna's attention again by waving his hand in front of him or calling out to him, but it seemed totally useless as he was still in that same state. Blake didn't understand what was happening to him, so he turned his gaze towards the place that Ragna's gaze was heading to, and then a new scene appeared in front of him.
The restaurant was no longer as crowded as it had been a couple of hours ago, but the lively atmosphere generated by the customers was still noticeable, the aroma of food and wine was still present in the air, and a figure had just appeared at the head table that was quite a common sight in the restaurant.
A loud and peculiar laugh had been heard in the instant that Sherman had crossed the door to go directly to the empty table, behind him was Evelyn with her elegant demeanor as she stole the gaze of many male customers who seemed to have been lost in her beauty.
Collette had wasted no time and had already approached to ask for Sherman's order, her hand was literally letting out small rays expressing the speed with which she was writing at the same time that Evelyn was also asking for her order.
Blake didn't find it strange that they were there for dinner, but besides them, Sofia was obviously also accompanying them, and as if the same thing that happened with Evelyn was repeating itself, all the young boys couldn't help but steal a look at her.
Blake looked at Ragna again, raising an eyebrow since he thought that this was happening to him, but, although he was not entirely wrong, he did not have time to ask him as he saw how Ragna got up from his seat and quickly approached the table where was the Sainte-Coquille family.
Blake already knew a little better about Ragna's attitude, so he also got up from his seat so he could catch up with him before he did something embarrassing in front of everyone. Blake was able to reach him just as they were in front of the table and he had covered Ragna's mouth with his hand making whatever he wanted to say couldn't come out of him.
At that moment, Blake could see how Ragna was struggling a bit in an attempt to get free while he held him firmly making it impossible for him to escape. Blake noticed the looks of the Sainte-Coquille family and was about to apologize for the scene and drag Ragna back with him, but then he heard those words that made him stop at that very moment.
"Perhaps…?" Evelyn had her gaze fixed on the pair of boys as she tried to remember something.
"Hohoho! It's a real disgrace to see a familiar face." Sherman had caught a glimpse of Ragna's figure before Blake intervened, so she was able to identify him without a problem. His expression combined with opposites made some people who heard him confused a bit, but before any more words could be heard from him, Sofia's voice was heard causing Blake to know that maybe he was wrong a bit.
"Ragna?" Sofia had an honest expression of a surprise since she never imagined seeing Ragna in the town restaurant.
Blake had released Ragna at that point as it seemed there were a few things to clear up as a few gasps came from him.
"Sigh... why did you do that, brother Blake? I felt like my mind was going blurry from lack of air."
"Sorry, I thought... It doesn't matter" Ragna didn't really care much for that as his attention returned to the peculiar family in front of them at the same time that a rather lively voice came out of him.
"Yes, it's me! It's nice to see major Sherman and the older sisters again." Just with that, Blake realized that they knew each other, so he didn't interfere further and let the conversation begin to unfold.
