Chapter 184 - Day 184: Acquaintences (II)

"Oh, so it really is about little Ragna, what are you doing here so far from home?" Evelyn was finally able to recognize Ragna and she couldn't help but say those words.

"Don't treat me like a little child anymore, sister Evelyn. Actually, I just arrived in Sharance today." Ragna had already calmed down enough from his earlier surprise and was starting a pleasant chat among those present.

"Hohoho! Well, stand and don't take a seat, please." Accompanied by his peculiar laughter and opposites, Sherman knew there were some things to talk about, so he didn't want Ragna and Blake to stand. "As I said before, it's a real disgrace to see you here, aren't you here with your father? I would have loved to greet him."

"No, he didn't come with me, after your last visit to Kardia I began to practice using runic abilities thanks to my current master, so I'm accompanying her on this journey. I remembered that you had said that you lived in Sharance, so I had planned to visit you, but it was a surprise that we meet here." Ragna began with that little explanation that gave Sherman several clues.

"That must mean that Miss Mei has taken you under her wing, you must not disappoint her." Sherman understood what Ragna said and it was not difficult for him to guess who this supposed master was. "I would also like to meet her if there is a chance."

"I'll make sure to tell her." Ragna was deep in that conversation, but for some reason, his gaze kept avoiding Sofia, though that didn't last long as her voice reached his ears.

"Hehe, it hasn't been several years since we saw each other, I remember that you were taller than me." Sofia was happy to see Ragna, they had known each other for a time and it had been a long time since they last met each other.

"Y-Yeah, it's really been a while, sister Sofia." Blake was attentive to all the interaction since he didn't want to disturb, besides he didn't have much involvement in it, but he could tell that Ragna didn't seem to mind the father-daughter duo's way of speaking to opposites, though he also noted his strange way of acting around Sofia.

"Hehe, there haven't been many changes yet, you're still the same disgusting pig that always gives me that feeling that I should treat you like the miserable scum that you are." The restaurant went completely silent after those same words came out of the mouth of the elegant violet-haired girl as she had a beautiful smile on her face.

"Those words mean a lot to me, sister Sofia." Despite everything, the lively atmosphere from before had returned to the place as if none of the above had happened. Ragna didn't seem to be negatively affected by the words Sofia had said, in fact it could be seen that a huge smile had appeared on his face at the same time that he was more relaxed.

Evelyn was touching her forehead as there were many feelings inside her hearing the way her dear sister spoke, but she could only sigh seeing that no one else cared.

"So, how are the big brother and my dear niece? I hope they have a lot of problems." Sherman returned to expressing his thoughts making the conversation continue its course.

"It's true, major Jasper and older sister Bianca told me to convey their regards to them and that they hope that you can visit them again soon." Ragna remembered that at that precise moment and he was quick to communicate with him.

"By the way, Ragna, do you know what he's been doing my cousin lately?" Evelyn asked that question since she wanted to make sure of something.

"Well, older sister Bianca is always busy regarding her family's business, she really tries hard, by the way, she told me that she would be grateful if you could make her some dresses if it is not much of a problem."

"Sigh... So she's still just as stubborn, now I feel like going to Uruz so she can listen to me a bit of what I have to say." The look that Evelyn had at that moment was quite serious, although no one knew exactly why she was acting that way, and no one wanted to dig that mine.

"Now that I realize it, when didn't you and Blake meet?" It was Sofia's turn to ask a question after she noticed Blake's presence that he had followed in silence.

Ragna began to explain the story of how they met at the same time that Blaise arrived at the table with all the food that had previously ordered. Sherman had quickly invited both Blake and Ragna to join them for dinner, but they had politely declined as they had had enough.

The conversation continued as Ragna told Blake about her relationship with the Sainte-Coquille family.

Basically, Sherman's older brother lives in the same town where Ragna lives, in one of the trips they made to visit the family, he met Sofia, and later he met both Evelyn and Sherman.

Blake understood that and the way they interacted no longer seemed strange to him. Time continued to pass to the point that the table was festooned with a huge stack of empty plates that it didn't take long for Blaise and Collette to pick up.

It seemed that dinner time was already over as the number of customers had mostly thinned out. Both Sherman and Ragna had left a generous bag full of what were surely gold coins before thanking Blaise for the food and leaving the restaurant together.

"Do you have a place to spend the night, Ragna? You can't stay in our mansion if you want to." Was the first thing Sherman said after leaving and realizing that it was already a bit late.

"Well... My master didn't tell me if she had prepared anything and I haven't heard from her in the last few hours, but I'm actually in the care of brother Blake, so I have to decline this time." Hearing that, Blake realized that he didn't know anything about Ragna's master or Shino either, but he was also thinking that it was true that he had been left in Ragna's care, and while he wouldn't leave Ragna to his own devices, he was also thinking about exactly what to do with him.
