Several more hours had passed since both Ragna and Blake had arrived at the restaurant and they could be seen still at their table talking some more after placing a huge pile of empty plates in front of them.
Throughout the night, Blake was aware of system notifications telling him that his eating skill had increased several times, but he wasn't going to complain. In the end, he couldn't refuse Ragna's goodwill and ate everything he ordered as well as realizing something… Even though he kept stuffing food into his mouth, he never really felt full.
Blake thought the eating skill had something to do with it, but he was also aware that the system always notified him about what he ate and its effects, it was as if whatever he ate was converted directly into runic energy even though he didn't need, causing him to feel like a bottomless pit, but it didn't seem to affect him too much since he could still enjoy the flavors of the meal and the feeling of being satisfied didn't go away.
"You were right, brother Blake. The food was amazingly delicious, in the town where I live there is also a very good restaurant, dad said that the previous owner was the best chef in the world, but now he can't take it anymore due to his age, although his apprentice is also very good, he still has a long way to go if he wants to reach the level of the chef of here."
"Yes, the first day I arrived in town I tried Blaise's food and it was something I will never forget, it was the most delicious food I had ever tasted in my entire life... Although it's not like I can remember eating anything that can compare to it either." Blake felt like it had been a long time since he had come to town, but in reality, it hadn't even been a month since he had come to Sharance.
"And how long have you been living here, brother Blake? I thought you had always lived in the town, but from what you said it seems not to be the case." Ragna wanted to continue the conversation, bringing up any topic that occurred to him.
"Actually it's something quite peculiar..." Blake took a breath before speaking, he was aware that Ragna didn't know about his situation, but he had no problem telling him a little. "I arrived in town a couple of weeks ago and thanks to a friend I was able to stay here."
"I see, so where are you from?"
"Well... The truth is that when I got to town I realized that I had lost my memory, haha..." Blake hadn't needed to say that for a long time, but it seemed like it was already something normal for him. 'Now that I think about it... That day I appeared in Shara's bed, what was I doing there? Maybe she had found me and brought me to her house, but the first time I met Shara she didn't recognize me… Maybe I should ask her the next time I see her.'
At the same time that Blake was immersed in his thoughts, Ragna was doing the same until she couldn't help but speak.
"That... That's pretty funny, brother Blake. Haha!" Ragna's laughter quickly reached Blake's ears, causing a strange look to appear on his face, but Ragna was quick to explain the reason for that so he wouldn't misunderstand him. "Sorry, I'm not making fun of you, I just felt a sudden déjà vu"
Blake still didn't understand, but he didn't interrupt Ragna.
"You may not believe it, but the same thing happened to my father when he was younger." And with just those words, Blake's curiosity was ignited. "He also came out of nowhere one day to the town where we live and had lost his memory."
"Wow... That's a huge coincidence..." Blake had to say that subconsciously.
"Yes, that's why I thought it was quite funny, he told me that he never recovered his memories from before all that, but that didn't stop him from leading his own life, my mother was the first person he had met on that occasion and who helped with his situation. In the end, they got married and my sister was born, and several years later it was my turn, so you could tell that he has a good life despite everything." Ragna explained all that quite calmly remembering everything that had been told his parents. "Oh, also, years ago my father's brother showed up, that was a big surprise for me, but it seemed that dad already knew him. Even though I wasn't there at the time. Dad was convinced that it was true and then he found out that he had more family besides us, which was a huge surprise to our family, so… It may not be from a lot of help, but don't be discouraged, brother Blake. Even if you don't get your memories back, surely things won't be bad in the future, you might even start your own family here in Sharance."
It seemed that Ragna was telling this whole story to Blake with that objective, Blake understood that and had a smile on his face, he understood what Ragna meant and, although the orb he had found had restored part of his memories and wanted to find more of them, he didn't ignore Ragna's words as it was really helpful to him.
Memories flooded his mind back from the moment he had arrived in town, how he had met both Raven and Shara when he was totally confused, appreciating all the splendor of the Sharance tree, meeting all the townspeople, learning how to farm, about magic and the runic path, causing him to get to the point he was at right now.
And although all that little trip was accompanied by a large number of oddities, and he now found himself involved in many of them, all of the above mentioned made it not so important. Obviously, Blake continued to have negative thoughts about the situation he was in, but despite that, he had to accept Ragna's words and realize something… He really did have a good life right now.
