In full view of all, it seemed that the weather was undergoing too sudden a change, the clouds high in the sky were accumulating at a rate that would alarm any meteorologist until they turned a grayish color indicating the large number of them.
The simple movement of the clouds had turned into a small vortex that was gaining speed with each passing second, several lightning bolts could even be seen swimming in the air, making the sight even more impressive.
No one knew what would happen next, but it was clear that such behavior could not be something natural, or at least something relatively normal, and the clouds had not stopped their movements up to the point where that vortex began to descend as if it wanted to fall on the earth.
The sight of a small tornado forming as well as the sound of lightning did not stop appearing, and at the same time, you could notice how the leaves of the trees wanted to be absorbed by that sudden phenomenon.
Both Sakuya, Blake, and Ragna were in awe of the sights, but unlike them, Shino had a complacent smile on her face while Mei frowned slightly at what was happening.
The tornado had reached the ground, and it seemed that at any moment it would begin to move to destroy everything in its path, but contrary to that, a gust of wind exploded, enough for all that view to be replaced.
The force of the wind had caused Blake to fall backward just like Ragna, both the tornado and that cumulus of clouds in the sky had disappeared as if they had never been there in the first place, and the weather from before had returned to being the same and the area had recovered the calm it had at first.
The wind element runes had been visible for a brief moment before they approached the figure that was now in the same place where the tornado was previously. Blake only had to take a look to know who it was while he wasn't surprised by what had just happened.
Marjorie's figure was visible to everyone present; her characteristic witch costume fluttered a bit as it was still covered by the wind element. In her hand, she carried her broom as she normally did, which caused Blake to freeze a bit as he remembered all the times she had hit him with it.
Marjorie had covered the entire area with her eyes before her eyes focused on Mei's figure and she approached her, her steps were firm and determined, it seemed that she had found a valuable treasure and no one was going to stop her, but that very moment, but that very look made Mei incredibly nervous.
"M-Major Marjorie, I…" It was quite unbelievable to see the expression besides the stutter that Mei was showing, the scene was comparable to as if she was a little girl waiting for her mother's scolding… And what would happen next was not too far from reality.
"Swoosh!" That sound was produced after Marjorie sliced through the air with her broom, it would be quite unlikely for her to do that, but once you could see how her broom was covered in a huge amount of wind element runes, it was quite convincing.
"Booommm!" And just a second later, that explosion sound was the result of contact between Marjorie's broom and Mei's head...
Perhaps it didn't seem too exaggerated, but everyone present could feel and be aware of the force behind Marjorie's movement as the point Mei was standing on had sunk in while several cracks were coming out from her feet.
"I knew that Marjorie was still upset, but to even use a spell of that level, it seems I underestimated her a bit..." Shino spoke to herself as she saw the situation and the fate that awaited her beloved master.
Mei hadn't moved or made a sound in all that time, but that didn't last long as she had slowly crouched in the same spot as she brought her hands to her head possibly trying to control the pain she was feeling.
"I hope you understand that this is not enough to calm my anger, girl." Unlike her usual smiling and teasing expression, Marjorie now had a completely serious look on her face as she continued to stare at Mei's deplorable state. "Shino, come on."
Shino sighed a bit since she thought she could stay out of it, but she thought it would be a better idea to go with them to prevent Marjorie from scolding Mei too much, as well as to explain Blake's situation a little better.
"Blake, I would appreciate it if you would keep Ragna company for a while, it seems that both I and my master will be a bit busy. Sakuya, take care of the inn, please." Shino left those last words once she reached the figures of Marjorie and Mei so that they all disappeared in a cyan halo produced by Marjorie.
…
That situation made everyone speechless, especially Ragna, he knew how powerful his master was, but seeing her in that situation, he unconsciously felt enormous respect and some fear toward Marjorie.
Sakuya was thinking of saying goodbye to both of them since she knew that there was nothing to do there anymore, she knew a little about the background story, so she didn't find the situation too strange. She was already about to say goodbye, but turning around and seeing the state of Blake and Ragna, she knew that she couldn't leave them like this.
In the end, everyone retraced their steps until they reached the inn, Sakuya threw the boys into Pia's hands making them understand what their fate was. The midday sun rose above their heads while the water drenched their skin as they felt their energies recover, everything that had happened now seemed like an old story, but it was enough to make him feel that that day was incredibly long.
