The notification that the request was complete rang at that time and Blake did not receive anything interesting again, so he retraced his steps while greeting his acquaintances along the way, he had not climbed to the top of the Sharance tree again since he was going to see how his crops were growing, but once he arrived at the place, the figure of a person he did not know was sitting right in front of what seemed to be his fully grown cherry grass, and with nothing to lose, approached him to be greeted by the voice that came from that person.
"So much cherry grass in front of my eyes, will they notice if I take one? I'm sure dad couldn't resist looking at this scenery either." That voice that reached Blake was enough to make him alert to that person, and moving a little closer, he was able to better see the characteristics of the possible thief.
He was a boy, and he seemed to be a little younger than Blake both in height and age, short brown hair covered his entire head and his large purple eyes seemed to shine as he continued to see the entire field covered in flowers. He was wearing blue pants similar to what a farmer would wear and suspenders over his brown-toned t-shirt and on his back was what looked like a small backpack.
"Should I...? No, mom said that if I got in trouble, she'd never let me leave town again, though I suppose I can reduce my punishment if I give her a good amount of turnips..." The words of that brown-hair boy in addition to his pensive complexion made Blake not know what to do, but realizing that staying silent would not get him anywhere, he simply raised his hand and touched that boy's shoulder as he began to speak.
"Excuse me..."
"Ahhh!!! I wasn't doing anything, I wasn't planning to steal anything, I swear it was just your imagination, what's more, I'm just a simple human-shaped turnip, why would I want to steal something?!" Panicked and incoherent words were what came out of that boy once Blake managed to get his attention.
He had unconsciously backed up a few steps and gone completely still in an attempt to get out of Blake's sight, but that didn't seem to work.
"Don't worry, I didn't want to scare you, I was just wondering what you were doing here."
"Huh, are... these are your crops?"
"Yes, they are, and by the way, I'll ignore everything I've heard, but could you at least tell me who you are?" Listening to the questions that just came out of Blake, the boy managed to calm down and breathe a sigh of relief since it wasn't about said person that he didn't want to see at that moment, he had already calmed down enough, and seeing that the blonde in front of he didn't seem to want to hurt him, he felt a bit more comfortable and started talking.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I gave a bad image of me, this... My name is Ragna, Ragna D. Law- hahaha! only Ragna, yes, Ragna is my only name."
"I'm Blake... Just Blake, Is also a pleasure, Ragna." It was quite obvious that the boy hadn't said his full name, but Blake didn't think much of it.
They both offered their hands in greeting and the atmosphere relaxed once they noticed how neither had bad intentions, Blake really didn't have a bad impression of the boy in front of him, so he forgot what he had listened before and simply kept listening to what he had to say.
"I recently came to Sharance from Uruz and was taking a walk when I ended up here, and I couldn't help but be amazed at the sheer amount of cherry Grass."
"Well, I guess it's a good amount, although I had to wait a week for it to be fully grown."
"Yes, a week…" Blake was a little confused once Ragna abruptly fell silent, he could hear small murmurs coming from him at that moment, but he wasn't sure what he was trying to say until his voice listened again, but this time with a touch of emotion. "I knew the Laguz continent would be wonderful!"
Blake had already started to collect all the cherry grass that was grown since Ragna was silent for a long time, he had returned with everything when he heard his voice again, but he still did not understand completely.
"Are you okay?"
"What? ah, yes, sorry, it's just that where I come from cherry grass is somewhat difficult to grow, if there is no problem, the least it would take to grow would be about sixteen days if you do not use any improvement in the soil." Blake was surprised by that.
"Sixteen days... Now I understand your reaction... Well, then you can keep this if you want." And without caring about opinion, Blake put three pieces of cherry grass in Ragna's hand.
"What?! No, I can't accept it, it must be very precious to you!" Ragna was panicking again.
"Don't worry, I can always buy and grow more, it's just a welcome gift to the continent." Blake had done it with the best intentions in the world, noticing how Ragna's eyes shone every time he looked at the pink flowers, he couldn't help but want to give him some to make him feel happy, but he didn't know they had such an impact on him.
"I will never forget this gesture from you, brother Blake. In my family's name, I swear I will return this favor many times in the future!" The sudden emotion, as well as a bow that almost touched the ground with his head, made Blake extremely surprised and helped the eccentric boy to his feet again, as well as noticing the strange way he called him and that he was swearing on behalf of his family even though he said he only had one name.
"You don't need to exaggerate, I just hope we can get along, that's all."
"You can be sure that if you need help, I will be the first to come to your call!" Blake had to calm Ragna down a bit since his expressions were too exaggerated for him, the minutes passed while he continued to accept the thanks from him until the situation seemed to return to normal.
