Chapter 66 - Day 66: Pure friendship (IV)

Blake only needed to prepare five zones to plant all of his seeds, but even with his large amount of runic energy, he had to drink the apple juice that was left with him to finish it.

He had already planted everything thanks to the system asking him if he wanted to do it, but before he accepted what it asked, he could see how two bags of seeds were separated from the rest and that seemed strange to him.

{Toyherb seed. Level 2.

Sow it in spring. A delicate flower that requires some hard work.

Selling price: 7G.}

"Hmm... Were these the bags of seeds that I got thanks to the system? It seems they leveled up, is there any difference from level one?" Blake was really asking himself a lot of questions at the time, but he left everything to check in the future, and seeing that the sun had already set when he finished, he stretched and gave a small yawn thinking about reaching his bed, but before even taking a step, a sound made him jump.

"Grrrrgg!!" It was simple to describe, it was the growl that belonged to some creature that was hiding in the dark. Blake didn't get too nervous, the first thing he thought was that it was some orc or something like that, so he equipped his sword and shield, and was attentive to any movement or thing near him.

The growls stopped being heard at that moment, but the feeling that something was watching him did not leave him. He was about to try to move away to take a greater distance, but the sudden chill that ran down his spine made him quickly turn around and raise his shield to protect himself.

"Clank!!" Just the sound of metal being hit was heard throughout the place just as Blake felt his arm being pushed along with his shield back. Thanks to the little light that the moon gave, he could see how claws were continuously pressing against him and that these belonged to the figure of what seemed to be a raccoon.

[Species: Raccoon. Status: Vengeful.]

The raccoon had brown fur and a ringed tail in addition to the characteristic mask on its face, its size, despite being relatively small, was as tall as a 7-year-old child, in addition to the fact that on its head you could see a peculiar leaf of green color with yellow that gave off a strange sensation, but what surprised Blake the most, was the force with which the raccoon was making him back at that moment.

He even thought that that was the strongest monster he had ever faced, but that was not the only thing that worried him, he also realized what the system had said, as well as feeling the way the small eyes dark ones were watching him at that moment.

Even though he took several steps back, Blake was able to successfully parry the attack, he thought that he could counterattack at that moment, but he didn't get the chance when he realized that a gust of wind was coming dangerously close to his head.

"Did that raccoon cast a spell?!" Blake ducked as fast as he could to avoid it, but he didn't even have time to think about the situation when he saw multiple blades flying at him again.

He was completely sure that it was physically impossible to dodge that and even though he really didn't want to do it, he had to use the ace up his sleeve once again.

"Absolute time!" And as before, the same phenomenon occurred again, everything stopped at that moment. It was already the second time he had used it, but he felt again how all the runic energy was being drained from him. He didn't want to waste anything and quickly used a dash to dash away from the impact site. He only managed to do that when he felt time return to normal, but it was enough to see how all the blades hit nothing uselessly.

From the raccoon's point of view, it watched with a smile on its face when the blades were about to hit the blond, and once they formed a dust curtain where its target was, it looked like it was about to laugh out loud, but all its happiness vanished the moment it saw its enemy appear a few meters from him without a single scratch. The raccoon was about to send another gust of wind, but it was useless when several spheres appeared in front of him and crashed into his body.

These spheres were nothing more than Blake's fireball spell. Knowing that he should take advantage of the opportunity he generated, he quickly conjured several fireballs in his hand and launched them at the raccoon as he watched as -20 values shot out of his body.

Once he saw that his attack was a success, Blake was preparing to continue the fight, his sword was firm in his hand and his mind was generating any feasible technique to emerge victorious, despite not even seeing how much runic energy really was left, he knew he couldn't run away at that moment.

But unlike the bloody battle that he thought would follow, Blake could see how after the raccoon got up, it only gave a loud growl and ran on all fours towards the farm gate.

Blake was actually surprised, thinking that since he saw the strength of the raccoon, it was strong enough to continue fighting, but instead, he watched as it ran away with its tail between its legs as it seemed to let out light grunts in pain.

Blake didn't know how to feel, on the one hand, he was happy for not ending up in a bad situation that risked his life, but on the other hand, he was somewhat disappointed by the image that the raccoon showed.

Blake heaved a sigh as he checked for any visible injuries and when he was completely sure, he began to walk in the direction of the stairs, but before taking a second step, he could only close his eyes for the next instant to feel his face kissing the hardness of the ground and fatigue lashed his entire body then ended up completely unconscious in the middle of the place.
