Chapter 67 - Day 67: Bet (I)

/Thursday, Spring 5/06:00 AM/

Small insects flew quietly, the morning dew covered the grass and the leaves of the trees while the damp earth dried little by little with the light that the sun emitted at that moment.

It seemed to be a normal morning like any other, but the figure of a blonde who seemed to have spent the whole night on the ground made it anything but normal.

[Sleeping skill, increased.]

And as of late, that notification was enough for the unconscious Blake to open his eyes and then look around him in a confused manner until the memories of the night before washed over him.

"Damn, I really can't control it, luckily that raccoon ran away or it would have used me as a punching bag." Once he sighed internally and saw that he was still on the ground, he got up as fast as he could to realize that he had indeed spent the whole night in the fields.

He thought that perhaps he would have an injury or something like that, but when he saw how the peculiar bars of his health and energy were full, he did not want to continue with the subject and thought that he should not worry, and taking advantage of the fact that he was in the downstairs, he took the watering can from his inventory to moisten the crops for the day.

He began by watering all the toyherbs which, as before, had grown large enough to show a small stem with flowers. After he was done with them, he even thought that he had overdone the amount he bought, but he knew that all the effort would be worth it, and once he set his sights on the other part of the field, he could see something like a turnip, but pink, it was peeking out of the ground.

Blake approached and could see that all the pink turnips that he had previously planted were already fully grown, which made him convince himself that it was a system thing that the seeds he got took less time to grow and, like the day previously, when he collected all the turnips, the seed bags of the same type of vegetable appeared, but these had also leveled up.

Maybe that was enough to make him happy, but he didn't really pay attention to it as he again saw one of those little blue spheres appear making him pick it up in no time.

[Dark skill, increased.]

"So, it happened again, it seems that those spheres are the same as the seeds and they appear randomly... Although it's not too much, doesn't this mean that I will be able to increase the level of my skills infinitely?" But once he thought it through, he left his dreams for another time and wanted to see what the system said about the new vegetable he had gotten.

{Pink Turnip. Level 1.

This beautiful vegetable is the result of a girl's efforts to improve the taste of common turnips.

Consumed effect: HP Rec +5, RP Rec +5

Selling Price: 200G.}

"Hehe, I only paid eighty coins, so my earnings are double, I think it's really profitable to have my own farm if you look at it that way." Once he saw how the money wouldn't really be an issue in the future, Blake picked up one of the turnips to appreciate it better.

This one was really peculiar, it was pink and its size was a little bigger than a person's fist, he looked at it carefully for a few moments and then began to devour it for two reasons, the first because he was curious about what said the system from its taste, and the second was because he was starving to death after spending his runic energy watering the fields.

"Mmm... It tastes sweet and a bit sour, I think they would be perfect to use in a soup, although I don't know how to make one. I better make a mental note for later." Having finished his little breakfast, Blake was about to put the turnips he just got into the shipping box, but he couldn't do it as an orange flash had caught his attention at that moment. It seemed that nothing could stop it and it was about to collide with Blake when a smokescreen generated the instant it tried to brake.

Once completely dissipated, a few gasps of exhaustion were the first thing heard as Blake gave a sneeze and looked up at the orange-haired figure, he was already familiar with.

"Pant... Pant... Blake! I finally found you, I thought you had already gone to the square with everyone!"

"To the square?" Blake didn't know what Shara was talking about, but he was listening to her response.

"Yeah, we're all going to argue about...!" But before she continued speaking, Shara got a little distracted. "Wow, you seriously planted all the toyherbs! But how are they so big already? Did you use formula C to make them grow so big?"

Just as he heard that, Blake realized that it had only been a day since he bought the seeds from Shara and he couldn't really tell her that it was all thanks to a magical system that reduced the time of crops, so he could only giggle and lie to her.

"Haha... You found me out."

"You really have a lot, if you want you can sell them to us at the flower shop once they're fully grown, lately we're missing a few..." But remembering what she came to do from the beginning, Shara was startled again. "Wait, It's not time for that! Quick, we have to get everyone!"

And without letting Blake ask why her attitude, Shara took his arm and dragged him until they reached the place where you could see how all the people of Sharance were gathered.

Shara seemed to be looking at everyone she was there and once she was done, she quickly walked over to her grandfather. Blake, seeing that he couldn't do anything else, went into the crowd until he chose a place to wait and then noticed how the mayor of the town seemed to attract the attention of everyone who was there.
