Blake didn't take long and was follow his way. As he left the tree, he could notice how the light covered his body and at the same time hurt his eyes a little, he breathed deeply and felt the refresh of nature that was present in the air. He was about to leave when he noticed the small mailbox that was next to the door.
"Shara said that there could also be a request in my mailbox, will there be any?" Following that idea, he opened it, and inside he found a piece of paper that was already familiar to him, and he began to read it while the system repeated the same thing as the previous time.
[Do you want to accept the request?]
As a routine, Blake agreed, and the contents of the assignment rang in his head again.
[Deliver a message...
Client: Wells.
Meet me.]
Even though the content wasn't too much, Blake understood that he had to go to the florist for the information to change one more time, and without further ado, he headed straight there.
"It's almost nine o'clock so it should be open by now." Once he opened the door and entered the flower shop again, compared to before, he did not see any of the sister duo and instead was see an old man with white hair behind the counter. Blake didn't wait too long and approached him to greet him. "Good morning, Wells."
"What's so good about them? I don't like these days, it will soon get cloudy and that doesn't do the flowers any good." Seeing that his greeting had not had the effect he expected, Blake just remained silent thinking about what to say to improve the situation a bit. "Ignore me, I'm usually a bit grumpy in the morning... In any case, welcome."
"Yes... I'm not doing very well waking up early either."
"Hmph... You're lucky you're still young, wait till you're my age." Blake didn't know what to do anymore, every conversation that came out of his mouth, Wells turned it into a new way of complaining, so he thought it best to keep quiet while he waited for all the growling to end. "By the way, what did you think of the town?"
"Uh... Ah, well, it's nice and quiet."
"Quiet?!... Hmph! I'll tell you something, this town has been a noisy sight since I was a kid!"
"it didn't give me that feeling..."
"Ah, no? I'll see if you keep saying the same thing later... Well, are you here for my request?"
"Yes. What can I do for you?" It seemed that the previous conversation no longer mattered, which Blake appreciated a bit.
"Do you know Marjorie?"
"Yes, I met her when I was touring town yesterday."
"Good. Then this should be straightforward. I just got the flowers that she ordered me."
"So you want me to take them to her?"
"Not quite. Actually, I had told her that they would be ready today, but knowing her, she probably forgot. So if it's not much of a problem, can you remind Marjorie to come to pick them up?"
"Do you really just want me to deliver that message? I wouldn't mind bringing the flowers to her."
"No. If there is a problem, it would be better if I were there to solve anything that might happen, I wouldn't want to lose one of my best clients, haha." Wells's laugh at that moment was somewhat suspicious, but Blake didn't care and he waited in case there were any more instructions. "How long will you stay there? Go away!"
"Oh yeah, I'm going right now." After Blake was almost kicked out of the store, he followed the path he already knew, reached the entrance of the pharmacy, and opened the door with a little fear when he remembered everything that had happened in that place. "Hello, I come to look for..."
But before he finished saying that, another voice interrupted him not caring a bit about being polite.
"You! Hehe, so you're back, tell me, what medicine are you going to want?"
"Wait, not again..."
"Don't worry, you don't need these weak medicines, I already told you, just one prick of my syringe and you will be as good as new!" Again, the situation was getting out of hand, Blake already had some experience dealing with these types of situations and he knew that the best way to escape them was to change the subject abruptly.
"Y-Your syringe is unusual... Where did you get it from?" And as if by magic, his plan was super effective.
"This? It's a long story. When I was younger and played doctor with Collette, I had a toy syringe. Then one day my grandma gave me this and told me to use it, hahaha, Collette sometimes shakes when she sees it."
'I don't blame her...' After thinking about everything Collette must have been through, Blake breathed in relief that Marian seemed to have forgotten her previous goal and after a few seconds, a voice came from the back of the place making Blake breathe a sigh of relief.
"Oh, it's the tree boy, do you need anything?"
"Good morning, Marjorie. Actually, I was coming because I have a message for you from Wells."
"I see. Come follow me so you can tell me. Marian, don't scare the clients away."
"Huh? For what reason would I scare them off?" Leaving Marian with a face of not understanding her grandmother's comment, Blake and Marjorie reached the back of the store to talk more comfortably.
"Well? Are you coming to ask for my granddaughter's hand?"
"Hum... I think I need more time to think about it..."
"Hehe, don't be nervous, boy. I suppose that young people today prefer to fall in love before thinking of getting married."
"Yes... I think so..." Blake did not feel comfortable in that situation, maybe it was normal to compromise two people, just like that, but for some reason, it seemed strange enough for him to get defensive in front of the smiling old woman.
