'It's late, should I go in?' "What's the worst that can happen? If I'm bothering, I'll just apologize and I'll be back tomorrow." The place where Blake was at that time, was in front of the florist where he had already entered before, and the reason for that was because of the message that the system voice said earlier.
...
[My first request...
Client: Shara
Introduce yourself to all the people in town. Progress: 20/21.]
"So I already introduced myself to almost everyone, although it would have been more helpful if you told me from the beginning how many people I had to meet in total, don't you think? System." And as a routine, Blake received no response. "Well... It's already a bit late, but if I'm lucky maybe Shara is still awake and I can ask her if I forgot someone, and finish the request once and for all... Although I must be careful in case I meet that little creature, I still have the sensation of the bite in my hand."
Then, without thinking too much about it, Blake left the town artist's house and retraced his steps until he reached his destination.
...
Returning to the same point, already decided, he opened the door of the store and entered, as in the morning, he could perceive the smell of flowers everywhere, but all the lights were off so he could not see anything.
Blake did not try to do anything else, he thought that they should all be asleep by now and began to withdraw, but as soon as he took his first step, he realized that the door had suddenly closed causing a strong knock at the same moment that a slight icy breeze passed by his back. Maybe it was his imagination, but he saw some strange shadow-like figures walking around the store as if they were stalking him, his heart began to race at a worrying rate and he was about to take out the short sword that was in his inventory to feel something protection in that unusual situation... But it was too late.
"BOOO!!"
"Kyyaaahhhh!!" And with the most strange scream that could have come from his mouth, Blake fell back as far as he could on instinct. Ended up falling backward while watching everything in slow motion and up taking with him many flowers that were right where he fell. At the moment in which he ended up half knocked out and with flowers and earth all over his body, the light of the place turned on again, and then he could see the figure and hear the laughter of the supposed entity that scared.
"Hahahaha! You entered the wrong house, thief! Although more than a thief, by your cry I could tell that you are a scared baby, haha! What are your last words?!" Yes. The so-called "being" who had just given Blake the scare of his life, was nothing more and nothing less than the little orange-haired girl who had bitten him that morning. Just when he processed the situation a bit, he wanted to clear things up and end the misunderstanding, but Monica was not going to allow him that. "What do you have to say in your defense?! In case you don't know, my grandpa is incredibly strong, someone tried to steal a flower some time ago and ended up feeding the fish!"
'What?!' With what he had just heard, Blake felt nervous and wondered if the little girl in front of him was serious or was it just her imagination exaggerating everything. 'I know Wells is the mayor of the town... But is it related to suspect's deals?'
With a little more fear and doubt, Blake decided that it would be best to get up off the ground first and try to calm the little girl in front of him.
"Don't worry, I'm not a thief."
"No? So what were you trying to get into the store when it's already closed and with all the lights off? If you're not a thief, what are you?" Monica's response made Blake completely convinced, but he still had to defend himself.
"If you say it that way, I might look like a thief, but in the first place, the door was open."
"Ah!" And as if she suddenly remembered something, Monica started to get very nervous. "I-Impossible! I'm sure I locked it."
"Well, you should have checked one more time, what if a thief really wanted to break in?" With a more serious tone, Blake began to reprimand Monica for her mistake and give her a slight warning of all the worst scenarios that could have happened.
"Ah, leave me alone, even if you're right, you're still a suspect!"
"Why am I a suspect?!"
"I've never seen you in my life, that's enough to make you suspicious!" Blake didn't know how to feel about those comments, and unconsciously he was starting to get a little tired.
"But you did bite me this morning!"
"It must have been because you did something wrong!"
"What did I do?!" The scene did not seem to stop, it could be clearly seen how Blake, who was almost an adult age, was fighting as equals with a little girl who seemed to be no more than ten years old without caring about his own pride or emotional stability, it seemed that he would be the winner, but the little girl drew her secret weapon and turned the situation around completely.
"Rarr!"
"Ahhrg!!" And again, Blake had small white pearls stuck in his hand while his cry expressed all the pain that he felt at that moment. "Let go of me! Let go of me!"
He was trying everything to get Monica to get loose, but it was useless, he even started to spin on himself, but the little girl did not separate at all. It was a strange scene, Blake was spinning and screaming while a small orange body clung to his hand as if his life depended on it, the screams were heard all over the place and anyone who was at that moment would be dizzy just seeing them.
...
Not knowing how much time really passed, Monica had already stopped biting Blake's sore hand and they were both on the ground trying to get their lungs to fill with air again as Blake got far enough away from the creature next to him thinking that he must have gone to bed from the beginning.
