I was riding home after a long trip with my mother and younger brothers. While riding in the front passenger seat speeding down the highway I suddenly felt something hit the side of my head. It was big about the size of a baseball. But even though I felt it and it even pushed my head around, it didn't hurt.
Just then a blue panel lit up in front of me.
[Welcome to your new life as a monster hunter one out of 100,000. You will be given magical abilities and in return you must defeat monsters. Each monster will give you gold and XP which can be used in the SHOP and Stat screen respectively. But first you must choose your class.
ββββββββββββββββββ
Your choices are:
- Mage (recommended)
- Fighter
- guards man
- supporter
(Classes that are recommended are recommended based on your physic and personality)]
I'm in shock without anything else to react with I simply exclaim "What?". My Mother quickly takes notice and says "huh? I didn't say anything." In response I say "Not you this.. thing. Can you not see it? It says I get magical powers but I am supposed to fight monsters? It also says I should become a mage because it fits me best." My mother clearly a bit skeptical "well if it says to become a mage then become a mage, it clearly knows you pretty well already." "Yeah I was planning on it. It's just this is super strange."
I then clicked the mage class with my finger. Instantly the window closed and a new one opened.
[Mage class selected. generating starter kit.
Congratulations you have obtained:
- Starter mage robe
- Starter mage staff
- 100 gold
- 10 stat points
- tutorial guide to your terminal system that teaches you about every function of the system
Do you accept? Y/N ]
I instantly said "yes" and I could feel the items enter somewhere. Then a new panel popped up
[Tutorial: Please say "inventory" out loud]
After doing so a blue screen opened it had many things on it such as an inventory with 60 slots. Above it were three other sections. The first section was an image of me sitting on nothing. I quickly learned that it mimicked my every move and I could even manipulate it to get a closer look at myself. Around it was also a few boxes for equipment. In it currently had all the clothes I was wearing currently. Just underneath it there was a small rectangle that read "G: 100" in golden writing. I quickly surmised that it was my gold. Then on the right side was the final section. A hexagon with six different stats one on each vertices of the Hexagon. Each of them being HP-5, MP-15, DEF-0, STR-3, DEX-4, AGI-2 STA-3. Making a sort of a graph. Right above it there was a text box reading "Average stat level: 4.5 - grade F". I then looked over my inventory and noticed two objects. It was the Starter robe and Starter Staff. Suddenly a new panel popped up.
[Tutorial: It appears you have gotten a chance to see everything in you inventory panel. Now if you look over at the top right you will see a button that appears to be two documents in a small stack. Click that to open the menu. In the menu you can find numerous things such as the hunter shop, hunter messaging board, quests, system and hunter requests, the hunter rankings (currently locked until all hunters finish their first quest), and your skills]
I then clicked the menu button and the screen that opened was very busy but I saw a few things in there.
[Tutorial: Open the shop.
Here you can find skills and items. A few things will be recommended to you based on a number of factors such as your personality, current situation, and the amount of gold you have. Then buy the only skill you can "mana bullet" a starter skill exclusive to mages.]
I opened the shop and saw that there was a skill at top of the skill shop half pf the screen. When I clicked it a little info window opened.
[Mana bullet:
Dmg: 1-2
Cool down: none
Mana Cost: 1
Effects: fires 4 tiny balls of pure mana at your target dealing small amounts of damage each hit.
Price: 100
Do you wish to purchase? Y/N]
I looked at the skill and saw that even with 0 cool down and the fact that it was super cheap to cast I didn't like it there is no way anything was weak enough to fall to this single attack. "Inventory" I opened my inventory and looked at my mage equipment.
[Starter mage robe (F):
Armor: none
Effects: slight warmth
description: a very light potato sack that grants very little protection. However it is enchanted to keep you abnormally warm once temperatures become to low to function optimally.
{Equip} {sell (200)} ]
I noticed the sell button and quickly did so. I can withstand the cold with a sweater plus I can probably enchant a way more comfortable hoody in the future with slight warmth and maybe some more effects for comfort. I quickly pressed the button and gained 200 coins. After selling the robe I saw that my staff had a 10% mana cost reduction I will be keeping this for now. I then went back to the shop and noticed two skills were now recommended for me. One being Mana bullet and the new skill being lightning bolt
[Lightning bolt:
Dmg: 15 - 30
Cool down: 1.5 seconds
Mana Cost: 10
Effects: fires a bolt of lightning at the target with a chance to chain to nearby enemies if they are touching. (Lightning attribute)
Price: 150 G
Do you wish to purchase? Y/N]
"Yes" as soon as that happened everything regarding Lightning bolt disappeared. From the shop. I could feel the skill being taught. It felt like remembering something long forgotten before me. Then suddenly I got a new notification.
[Tutorial: You now have your first attack skill time to use your stat points. Open your inventory and say "add (amount of your choice) stat points to (stat of your choice)]
I did as the system said and raised my MP to 25 using all 10 of my stat points. Raising my average to 6 -F.
[All hunters in the area have completed their tutorial.
Starting initial quest "Goblins on the highway" eliminate all the goblins with your fellow hunters in your raid party.
Reward: 500 gold and 100 XP
Extra: anything the quest monsters you kill drop you get to keep.]
Just then many glowing figures appeared on the sides of the road. Once they fully formed they turned out to be goblins which started attacking the random cars. Standing at about the size of a slightly less then average adult man. They swung their clubs if they had one and tried to kill everything they saw.
