I stopped just outside the hospital, breathing hard. The adrenaline surging through my veins had convinced me to run instead of just hailing a cab, and now that I was right in front of the hospital, it was showing it's side effects.
I bent a little, my breath coming out in ragged form. I stood up, however, letting my breath steady just a little, before I started to run again, into the hospital.
Aarons' room was not so hard to locate and I ran in immediately, stopping by the door.
"You came," Aaron said with a small laugh. "In your pyjamas. You didn't have the plan to return, did you?"
"I am sorry, but..." I started to say, but had to stop to catch my failing breath.
"Stop and catch your breath, lover girl. Romeo dropped by."
I closed my eyes for a while, and it took all my will power not to just sleep from that. I felt tired to my bones, my feet sore.
"He did?" My breath felt better now, and I leaned on the bed.
