The scent of grass and the sound of wind surprised them when they first stood out from the jeepney van. Baekhyun was clinging to Chanyeol carefully watching his steps so he'll not fall down from his usual clumsiness. The camping site was surrounded by tall trees so it made it a little creepier to Baekhyun so he just followed around like a lost puppy.
The sun is setting down when they started to build their tent. The head scouts checked their attendance first when they arrived at their destination and listed their names for security and such.
Chanyeol and Kris started to unfold the large white tarp of the tent while Suho and Kai burrowed the metallic poles in the middle and the stakes to which the tarp will be attached. The others gathered the things inside the van and set it outside. After an hour, a tent was made in front of their eyes.

Luhan carried the carpet, kyungsoo carried the utensils and of course, Baekhyun carried the pillows—one by one.
The other males carried the heavy objects like the coolers, table, and bags out and flexing their muscles and showing off how strong they are. The grass field was suddenly covered with tents and it's clear that they have the biggest tent, thanks to Chanyeol, Kris, Suho, and Kai. And also they have the most beautiful tent credits to Luhan, Kyungsoo, and Baekhyun who designed the inside of the large tent.
They started to put the sleeping pads in and surrounded the tent with them. They made their way to the van again and started to rest for a while. They were busy resting while Baekhyun is busy wiping Chanyeol's sweat in the face of the giant and at its back.
The others just exchange glances when they witnessed how caring Baekhyun it is to Chanyeol. Suho secretly murmured 'One point.' And smugly grinned when he looked at Kris, Lay, and Kai.
"PROCEED TO THE CAMPING PROGRAM NOW. PROCEED TO THE CAMPING PROGRAM NOW." A loud static radio speaker resonated around the camping area and that they proceeded to the center of the grass field which the program is going to be held.
They sat near the mini stage, the other boys just made a space for them to sit. In front of them were six camp managers including their school teacher wearing scout administrator attires.
"Camping is a great way to explore leadership, build skills, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether for a day, a week, or longer, camping gives everyone an individual opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun under the guidance of caring, trained adults." Their young professor Park Hyung-Sik announced his introduction. Lots of students were there rounding the mini-stage in the center, just listened and agreed with a nod.
A handsome man stepped forward, "We live in a world of screens—smartphones! laptop! TV! tablet!—and sometimes you just want to get away from it all. We get it. That's why you can focus your experience on getting outdoors. And anyway, my name is Park Seo Joon." —And books and part-time jobs to survive life, Baekhyun mumbled folding his arms and blinking cutely.
"You'll develop the kind of outdoor skills it's hard to get anywhere else. Skills like building a campfire, pitching a tent, and canoeing across a lake. And I'm here to help you experience it, Do Ji-Han at your service." Spoken by a stoic-faced teacher with a cold demeanor.
"Hey, how about adding some lake swimming, rock climbing, and archery to the mix? Round things out with a ropes course, some ziplining, and maybe a week-long back-country trek, and you'll find out how much fun it can be to unplug and explore the world around you. I'm Minho's third-year P.E. teacher." I'm so dead, how can I do these activities?! Baekhyun nibbled as he tugged at Chanyeol's shirt nervously. Chanyeol just ruffled Baekhyun's head reassuringly. Well, who wouldn't notice it? 'Two points.' Lay murmured.
After an hour of the program, they immediately get back to their tent. Chanyeol nudging Baekhyun playfully when the latter is throwing a tantrum at the giant snapping at him saying, 'how am I supposed to climb with my short legs Chanyeol?!' or like 'Gosh, it's your fault when I drown myself in a lake. Freaking heartless giant.' puffing his cheeks and glaring at the taller while folding his arms like a four-year-old kid.
Once they arrive, Kyungsoo immediately opened the mini-fridge and took out a pack of hotdogs and instant goods, "So we're eating hotdogs and spam sandwiches tonight." He stated knowing that he's the only one who can cook among the lazy bums—"Uhh, I can help at cooking," Baekhyun suggested, raising his tiny arms in the air. Kyungsoo raised a brow at Baekhyun as if inspecting if the bunny is really serious right now and that he may not burn the whole jeepney van out of clumsiness or that he may not burn the entire campsite.
"Ok. C'mon in. Just umm..just don't try to burn the whole place, k?"He warned and Baekhyun nodded sheepishly then they started cooking.

I thought I heard hotdogs and sandwiches earlier...Hmm." Xiumin commented as he witnessed the arrival of the dishes.
"You heard it right. Not until I let Baek tamper with the kitchen." Kyungsoo stated while looking at Baekhyun struggling to carry the dish in his hands. Kyungsoo was impressed with Baekhyun.
"I'll help you with that." Sehun gently brushed Baekhyun's arms with his, still in his composed demeanor. "Oh... Right," Baekhyun mumbled as he handed the tray with blushing cheeks.
"It looks delicious tho, I didn't expect that you can cook Baekhyun-ah. You're full of surprises." Kris commented while winking at our now tomato blushing smurf.
"T-thanks...I guess." Baekhyun stammered. He shifted to one side of the tent and slid his feet in the sleeping pad. After a minute, he realized that his best friend was missing, he asked the rest if anyone saw him. Worrying him as scary thoughts flooded his tiny brain.
"Probably sexting his girlfriend again," Kai answered cheekily which made Baekhyun blush from the latter's vulgarity. Kai was soon elbowed by Lay who was sitting right next to him and gave a warning look when he saw Baekhyun sulk in the process, with a 'There's an innocent kid right there, you bastard.' -Look.
"Aish let's just eat, Baekhyun. Maybe Chanyeol just took a leak or something." Tao patted the latter's back. Baekhyun suddenly felt uncomfortable with the guys around him, now that he knew Chanyeol is out of the perimeter.
"You're making him uncomfortable. Aish, get out of the way," Luhan prompted and shooed away Tao and Chen. "Let's just eat and see if Baekhyun is good at cooking!" He piped up and filled his plate with vegetable salad, salted pasta with spam, and spaghetti with tomato sauce and hotdogs.
Baekhyun felt relieved when Luhan did that, as they were in the middle of eating while throwing jokes at each other, Chanyeol suddenly popped up in front of them. Baekhyun was relieved but cannot hide the fact that he was freaking worried because of his best friend's disappearance.
"Yeah, where did you go?! Baekhyun is worried about you. Your piece of meat!" Luhan has spoken while glaring at Chanyeol jokingly.
"Jieun just called, I cannot just avoid her calls you know. You know how crazy she is when I do that." He stated and squat to reach a plate and spoon.
"What did I say?" Kai smugly grins while looking at the disgusted faces of his friends.
"I really want to smack your face with a spatula right now, you know that?" Kyungsoo glared at Kai.
"Why me?! It's Chanyeol, not me! He's the one who's missing for an hour, tch." Kai defended while pointing his finger at Chanyeol accusingly.
"Gosh, is that a big deal? It's our anniversary and I didn't even have to invest time for her today." Chanyeol defended himself. Carrying the fact that he chose to go camping with Baekhyun instead of celebrating their anniversary with Jieun.
They were about to rant from it again and again when Baekhyun let out a short sentence that made them stop arguing.
"Then you should have invested more time with her." He muttered that even he was not aware that the words had escaped his lips. The rules say, no gadgets are allowed but Chanyeol casually broke the rule. A moment of silence in the tent and it suddenly turned awkward.
Chanyeol was taken aback when Baekhyun spilled the sentence. On the other hand, Baekhyun just tried to chew his food like nothing happened as he just kept quiet.
"Woah, umm, of course, uh let's just eat now okay? Cause I'm hungry and I know we are all hungry." Kai awkwardly gulped his food.
"God! Your dishes are far more delicious than Kyungsoo!"

It was the unluckiest day for Baekhyun when he realized that he don't even have a sleeping bag—because who would imagine a nerd kid out in the woods, attending camping? Well, technically Chanyeol intended to sleep with him with only one sleeping bag but now that Chanyeol was guilty of worrying his best friend's thought didn't even realize what was going on. He just covered his hands in his face in frustration. He pondered asking the other members in the tent if they have extra sleeping bags but end up shaking his head out of shyness. —gosh, who would bring an extra sleeping bag, stupid!
"Hey, seems like you forgot your sleeping bag so I'm going to give you mine instead." Sehun beeped at Baekhyun.
"Oh, thanks— I mean no, yes, um, the truth is I really don't have one but uhh you can have it," Baekhyun confessed. His shoulders drooped and biting his lips when he's about to tear up.
"Freaking giant he doesn't care about me." Baekhyun accused and glared at what he thought was Chanyeol's back who was now covered in a blanket—soundly sleeping.
Well, the truth is Chanyeol was out of the perimeter again because Baekhyun's mother suddenly called him and that he needed to find a strong signal to catch up with the smurf's mom. Basically, Baek mistakenly assumed that the one who was now sleeping was Chanyeol with the fact that it's Kris. Just so you know, they have the same height measurement.
"Well, I'm here to take care of you." Sehun smiled a bit. Baekhyun's heart fluttered at Sehun's statement. And grinned at the thought that Sehun just smiled knowing that he rarely smiles hit him.
A lot more insisting and now Baekhyun was laying in the comfy sleeping bag that was supposedly for Sehun.The latter just looked up at the night sky while sitting on the edge of the entrance all crouched down and rubbing his freezing hands for some heat when Baekhyun lowly call Sehun's name.
"Hey, Sehun? Let's share instead, umm...If you want, oh of course you don't want. Umm---" Before he finishes his words, Sehun immediately slid his body in the caterpillar sleeping bag.
He's freezing... Baekhyun mentally thought and didn't think twice as he hugged the taller which the latter didn't expect.
"I usually hug that derp over there whenever he feels cold." He started pointing at the sleeping bag in the corner accusingly and with that Sehun's tensed body slowly faded.
Kris? Sehun wanted to ask but when he saw Baekhyun close his eyes and snuggled closer, he felt relaxed, and with the puppy's soft whimpers and cute snores, he was lulled into sleep right away.
The shivering Chanyeol came into the tent with a shaking body right after Baek's mother ended the call but instead, he saw the members already sleeping.
What caught his attention was Sehun's hands around Baekhyun's shoulders and that Baekhyun was also hugging Sehun from below the soft mattress.
He felt the colds from the freezing air gone colder but imagining his best friend with other's arms, he felt colder than ever. He felt a churn of unsettling feeling inside of him. And it was his fault.
And again he realized he had another problem.
"Damn it, where's that sleeping bag?" He asked to the freezing air, talking to his own self.
