" Hey, why are you scared am not asking you to do anything bad. "
" Right, you just want to break into her room. Do you have any idea how scary she is. " he asked.
He slowly scooted away from June.
"Relax, I went on a mission with her and she was fine. Why are you so scared anyway? " June wondered ; Aliza was obviously too calm for anyone to be scared off.
" I broke into her room once but guess what I almost died. The air around her is so stuffy. "
" That could not be all " June knew something else had happened.
" Fine, she once caught me on a mission and I was unable to detect that she had seen me. " he mumbled.
"ha...haaaa..." June burst into laughter.
" So you are just scared because you know she would catch you. "
" Whatever " he shrugged.
" Why do you want to break in so bad, Call her or something" He suggested.
" If i could contact her I would, I need you to break into her room. She hasn't left the building according to the records. It's been more than a week. "
"Oh! I would help but you have to release me for that ". Ennesie wiggled.
" Oops sorry" June smiled shyly as she she had forgotten she had bound him.
"Release, breeze "
Finally free, he got up and waved his limbs.
" So hurry " June ushered.
" Common it would take time. Don't you know her room is fortified with a complicated spell. " Ennesie explained.
He dipped his hand in his space bracelet removing a palm knife, a key and a needle.
" Sor..."
Casting a spell under his breathe. June could not tell what it was but she watched his face make a frown.
" The lock has become harder than a week ago and it making itself much tougher."
June's brow furrowed. " Aliza doesn't use magic. "
" Right.... so how can this be" Ennesie pondered.
" What exactly " June asked.
" The locks being manipulated by magic and every time I try to break into her room I can feel the power. " he replied.
" How many times have you tried to break into her room or mine " she raised her eyebrows.
Ennesie ignored her question as he focused in the lock, it might seem creepy but breaking into place was very much easy. As for June's room it was completely pointless to enter. The girl as a boring life.
" I have not received my answer, do you break into my room?" she pestered.
" Geez, no you are boring. I only break into places with information or I am paid to "
" Wow... Boring any way hurry up " She scoffed just because she was not keeping skeletons in her closet does not mean she was boring.
Aliza was still in one of the homes on the land. The whispers grew louder and she could here them fight.
It sounded like two women where having an argument. She wanted to speak but she could not see the people speaking.
Maybe the wind was carrying voices or maybe it was not.
She stood still in the room only using her eyes to scan it.
"psshh...shhh...ssshh"
" Fi...finally a a visitor " a eerie voice filled the air.
" It is been so long. " another voice replied.
"Welcome.. welcome. " The first voice whispered.
"we gravely apologize for the lack of chairs." the second voice apologized.
Aliza feet froze as she was stunned by the voices she heard. A part of her which it could dismiss it us the wind unfortunately the wind neither sounded so eerie nor had such a clear voice.
"Sister, are we mistaken. Perhaps there is no one here the first voice whispered. If that was possible they were already whispering but it sounded lower than that even unsure i am not wrong this time"
Though it sounded sure Aliza was are she was doubting herself it might not make sense and could be deadly dangerous but she made the decision to reply to the voices in the wind.
"Hello who are you and can see you"
"Do you see my tingling senses are never wrong I knew a creature had come over" the first voice bragged
"Oh really, a week ago you made me continuously yell into the wind and a week before that was the same" the sister busted the first voice bubbles,
"Fine maybe I might be wrong sometimes but I am right today we finally have a the voice trailed off has she was unsure what creature and stumbled into their abode.
"What are you"
"I asked you the same question" Aliza replied. A minute of silent descended the house before the voice spoke.
"Spirits not ghost or souls"
"We are spirits formed or created however blessed with immense power, we are either evil or good"
"and we grant those that stumble upon us immense power" the second voice interrupted.
"Well I don't need immense power" Aliza said under her breath.
"You cannot say that, everyone needs immense power, you might have enemies, people who offend you. Have you never had the desire to rule the world. We sisters could grant it to you whatever power you wish. Your true heart desire will be fulfilled" the second voice tried to convince in a hurry
The first voice made no move to stop her sister.
"Really, immense power but why is it that you can't grant yourself face or a body."
"Creature you are brave, standing in our abode you mock us. As spirits we grant power and sign contract in which we gain enough power to do has we please "the first voice answered. It had been a long time since they had signed a contract.
Most people are unable to reach the depths of their region.
"Our kind as provided power in the past to many creature WHICH ARE YOU"
"Human" Aliza whispered. Not like being human was all that great.
"Finally sister after so many centuries a human has finally chanced upon us. Please let your greed blind you and request for whatever." the second voice jubilated.
"Ah... Yes humans it is sometimes lovely to here from the human travelers or other creatures who describe the creatures as greedy as gold fairy in a gold mine.
"Whatever it is you might have heard of humans could be ninety percent true but don't need immense power. I only want to go home" . Aliza replied.
Anyone in her place would have loved to deny the accusations on it race but she did not want to try. Being born into the most complicated race.
It had way to many grey part though evil was clear and good was simple enough. A lot still fell into the grey where their action could be understood and felt enough not to call them evil.
She closed her eyes and calmed herself, she rally just wanted to be back in the dorms.
"No sister we cannot let this go until she is in a contract with us " the second voice whined.
"If it is to return home, we can help you. " The first voice said.
"mmmh yes. yes we can do that. Out transport spell is the best. Just allow us to give you a contract" the second voice pleaded.
" You can't get home without us. Don't worry to much what is the worst that could happen. "
Aliza sneered " You could ask for my soul or the soul of those around me. How am I to trust you of I don't know what the contract could do ".
It was common knowledge not to sign contracts or get into agreement with mystical creatures.
People must not even tell their name as it could bind them in a contract.
" Fine, Human the contract we request for is not hard. We shall provide you of power when you need it.
We shall get you home wherever that is.
We shall guide you on rich ancient spells and you will have access to our personal library of Dark arts..." The first voice was interrupted.
" Dark arts..... no way. Does it not have negative effects." The second voice questioned.
" Of course not, Maybe just for knowledge sake. "
" Makes sense." The second voice.
"Please, our powers are versatile and if we can't do it we can at least learn." The two voices spoke simultaneously in a pleading tone.
"Are you that lonely" Aliza asked; though she had not heard much about spints. Mystical creatures were arrogant since they were blessed by nature.
"It has been more than a thousand years since we have had contract with any other creature apart from ourselves it might not be noticeable in the beginning but as years passed we began to feel the impact of being alone." The solemn tone of the first voice made Aliza's heart ache.
Aliza kind of liked to be alone but to be isolated from human or any relations for a thousand year was a curse
"Are there no other spirits, also suppose other creatures and humans would be glad to have more power don't you get visits" She asked.
"In the first hundred years of a thousand we were both in an hibernation nap before we went to sleep. We had a huge party with other spirits. "
"It was our good night party but something went wrong the ritual party was altered so we slept for a little longer than planned. It was all good but after the hundred plus year passed and we awoke."
"We were trapped in this room our senses could not extend and we couldn't communicate with any other spirit at first we were sure it was a joke but another hundred years passed and we knew something was wrong."
" All the spirit couldn't fall asleep at the exact same time. Trapped in a state of fear, we remained in these room hoping some creature who craves power would stumble upon our home." The second voice continued from were the first left off about a hundred years back felt a huge drain on this dimension. It became cold and very stiff.
It was really heartbreaking if what they speak of was true Aliza thought.
"So can you sense the other spirits now" she asked.
"They are all gone." the first voice replied.
"Everyone we know is lost, fifty years ago we were finally able to sense outside our abode but sadly there is no longer a trace of them."
Each house cold and empty but the worst part was free. The spirit home had knowledge and was never vacant. Only when we are gone would the house be free" The second voice spoke while choking back a sob.
She finally understood why she felt the other homes were desolate and depressing
"How does the contract affect you" she asked; she wasn't the kind to get moved by sad stories but she couldn't help herself.
"The contract only specifies we follow you out and you help us increase put strength. We understand you do not trust us" The first voice stated.
"My name is Sanliantun " The first voice declared.
Aliza immediately understood the voices intention.
A mystical creature especially those nature blessed never give out their name.
It meant slavery and loyalty as the name could be used to control then it was said the name was whispered to them by nature. So no one other than themselves was aware of this name.
"Nice to make your acquaintance Sanliantun will call you Niar."
"Hey why didn't you let me tell her my name, first" the second voice whined
" I am called Euphanual, the wind named me itself, So hurry and give me a short form."
Aliza chuckled quietly " nice to meet you Euphanual, I will call you Darca, how does that sound"
Since they had given her their names signing the contract was easy.
Usually spirits were not the ones to sign contract.
Creatures begged them every few years for one immense power or the other.
Trusting someone with their name was not advisable but something about the girl made them trust her.
'Niar' sounds nice. ' the first voice thought.
With the contract made and sealed a huge rip tore through the fog, creating a tube like portal opening.
" So am I to pass through this " Aliza asked.
" Just enter and think of where you want to be. "
"Okay"
"Hurry up, why are you so slow" June complained.
"I thought you said you were the best"
" This is snail speed. Trespassing should not be this hard"
"Common move faster"
"All your whining is not going to make it any faster and if you can do it better be my guest." Ennesie stated: June was getting on his nerves with her every ten minutes complain.
It technically wasn't his fault that Aliza's room was so complicated. He did not understand how someone who only performed basic spells could actually pull something so deadly up.
He almost thought she was locked in but this kind of lock could only be manipulated from the inside by the dweller.
He was sure there was something more and hidden about Aliza. "One secret he hoped to discover someone like him was born to no secrets and this one seemed juicy"
"Common hurry. Snail fingers wonder why you didn't get caught all this while." June teased again.
June teasing woke him from his daydream as he increased his speed, he secretly knew that if he was unsuccessful June might rat him out.
Strangely is worry was not that but his proud reputation would be destroyed.
With that in mind his fingers mover even faster.
A click was heard and the door opened wide.
The room was clean and had a simple structure unlike what was to expected of someone personally cared for by the Academy.
The only problem was Aliza was empty.
The bed covered in sky blue sheets were completely crease free almost like someone has not used it in a while. June walked not the room but it was empty and neat.
Too Neat.
