Aliza fell to the ground. Her body bounced off the bed onto the floor.
" ughhh' she groaned.
" Aliza " a gasp lefts Ennesie mouth while June softly called out to her.
Aliza climbed unto the bed as she stared at the faces frozen in shock. She was also stunned as she never expected anyone to be in her room.
" hi… " she waved to ease the tension in the room.
Recovering from the initial shock June slowly thought it over. It was normal for someone to suddenly appear in a place that empty. Just like Aliza did .
" Hmm.. Hello we were coming to check on you " June said breaking the awkward silence that had descended in the room.
" Oh! Right thanks a lot " Aliza was happy they checked up on her.
" You were gone for a week, I hope you are okay" June asked worried Emma and Jake had done something.
" Wait, did you say a week?" Aliza exclaimed.
" How was I gone for a week ? "
" And how come my door room is still intact" Aliza asked.
Ennesie who had been easily ignored by the girls decided to make his presence known.
" Well, I guess no one came to look for you"
" You really arent peoples favorite "
It felt awkward when laid out in the open by Ennesie but it was true, if not how could she go missing for a week and no one seemed to bother or care. It hurt Aliza's heart slightly but she was fine anyway.
" Oh! So what are you doing here, am sure you did not come to visit either." Aliza asked.
" Of course not, I was on a healthy mission when June decided to employ my services and as a kind person I was nice enough to help. I guess your only friend"
Aliza blushed embarrassed as he continually pointed out her loneliness. She looked at June a little bit shocked he had come to visit.
" I was worried, you left me with so many things, I waited for you to show up but you were continuously absent from classes and no one else seemed to notice so I came to check on you and got Ennesie to help me out." June was not really interested in protecting him but since she had given her word she was sure to stick by it .
" Oh! I see"
" You were breaking into a room close to mine right and she caught you. Hmmm…. Let me guess another information theft or was it personal item theft this time "
Aliza figured out what happened. She was only short from figuring out who he was after this time.
" Tell me why you are not on the journalist team, your ability to deduce is spot on " June complimented.
" Great. You know . That does not hide the fact you use magic to strengthen your door barrier and you just fell into an empty room. Save yourself the stress by saying you have always been here. My senses make me the best in my field" He bragged hiding the fact that he had been caught twice by the ladies in front of him.
" Bragger. I did not use barrier magic, I was not even present. " she snorted.
Aliza adjusted her position and sat more comfortably.
" Magic doors are not in the market . I have seen no trace of installation" Ennesie inspected the door to be sure.
He comfortably ignored that she had said that she did not use barrier magic not that she can't use magic. June heard it clearly . It might have been because she had saved her on the berserk lands but she felt suspicious when Aliza made it seem like she could not use magic. It felt more like a hoax but she could not grasp what was going on.
One thing was sure Aliza knew how to use magic but why she hid it and pretended to an invalid.
" Aliza, here you are. I think you Emma and Jake have backed off for now. " June said, handing her the space bracelet. She had given her for safe keep.
" The door was not spelled. " Ennesie said dazed.
" huh"
" The door was not spelled , it uses the normal Academy lock spell. How could this be possible. "
" What do you mean it is not spelled " June felt a little skeptical.
" It is not. There is no sign of Magic"
" Oh ! " June was surprised as she had seen it lock itself after he unlocked it.
" So anything interesting happen " Aliza distracted them.
" Ah!, yeah well things are super relaxed at the academy and there is a new student." June said.
" mmh.. A new student , thats strange how could a new student register midway" Aliza frowned.
" Well according to the Academy secret laws it is only possible to allow a new student midterm when the student is super important. Princesses, foreign exchange, Land trolls, tournament winner. Or .." Ennesie paused.
" Or what " June asked.
" What are you still doing here by the way. " Aliza asked.
" Hey Just because I said no one likes you that does not mean you should be mean. " Ennesie grumbled.
" As I was saying, Or chosen one's but I cannot tell what section she falls into."
" Who falls into what" She asked.
" He is talking about the new girl Ashley Annique she comes from Zentrum Darriassel center." June replied
" North or south" Aliza asked.
"Am not sure" June replied.
" The Annique she is only gives special preference if she is up North the Southern family are not able to join midterm. " Aliza said .
' The name Annique sounds familiar' Aliza thought.
" She is not from the Northern family m, my info says there was no child of old enough to attend our class year, they are either older or younger. I also know she is related to miss Edriana who quit recently. " Ennesie said. He felt quite proud of himself.
After all his ability to source for information was special.
" Well whoever she is should make no difference right. " Aliza said but deep down something in her felt uncomfortable.
" She is good at magic and other arts. All teachers love her " Ennesie mocked.
" That does not matter. Aliza hmm…" June stumbled over her feet.
" Can we be friends " June asked.
Aliza was dumbfounded, it was not everyday someone asked to be friends. Especially when you are a loner.
" Sure. I guess we could be friends ." Aliza answered.
" Hold up. Did anyone think to ask me if I want to be friends, I am also lonely." Ennesie said still shocked that it was that easy for the loner Aliza to get a friend like June.
He also did not know why he wanted to be friends with them but he supposed the feeling he got from them was warm.
" Okay " " No way" .
June and Aliza said together.
" Sure , Aliza stop being so petty okay. Look having a friend like me means you can get info on anyone that does not like you" He said.
Such an offer was too tempting to refuse so Aliza accepted.
" So are you from the Northern family " A blond haired girl asked.
" Or southern " the other girl who looked exactly like her interjected. The only difference was that her hair was black.
" A southern merchant family cannot intervene in the Academy not to speak of resuming midterm. You should tell us where you belong " His hair was sleek back and well combed not a single was out of place. His chiseled jaw and strong aura made him seem like a seasoned aristocrat but his youthful face gave room for comfort.
" Ashely Annique is my name. I am not from any of those places" Ashley defended.
" I see. A commoner" The blond haired girl sneered.
" Not a commoner, The tournament as already happened. A commoner cannot join midterm." Her sister replied. Ashley guessed they were twins as they looked do similar.
" Hmmm…. So who exactly are you " The guy asked.
" I was admitted by the headmistress" Ashley said; if there was one person she knew no one questioned it would be her. After the Headmistress was someone she admired.
" Oh! Well nice to meet you. I am Andre Consigne and the two of them are Sandra and Samantha Consigne. My first cousins " Andre introduce gesturing to the himself and the blond and the black haired sisters.
" If you need any help ask us. After all you were admitted by the Headmistress. "Sandra said; tossing her ponytail back and walking away.
Ashley was so happy. She had thought hard on how she could interact with her mates but she still felt nervous despite all her preparation. Just like the Headmistress told her as long as she showed of her strength. No one could take her place with fake imitation.
With a gentle smile on her face she got ready for her next class.
The wind softly graced the green grass making it sways and with each gentle swing tiny droplets for water fall into the air and on the ground. The grass covered about twenty kilometers of land, the grasses were as high as an average human knee and with higher sparsely scattered flower shrubs. The shrubs were decorated with various colors blue, red, purple, yellow, orange, white.
The trees numbered even less with less than fifty spread on the land. The trees had two kind one higher than seven humans stacked upon each other and the other was just a hundred cm above an average height human.
The whole atmosphere gave off a feeling of serenity.
It was a peoples favorite, you could disappear into the grasses to hide from the reality of life.
Edriana wished she could stay forever in those grasses. It felt like the warmth hug, a safe haven but sadly no amount of wishes could stop them from finding her.
' Sometimes it was hard to do whatever you wanted especially if you had things you cared about. It was painful to be drawn into the drama of life by those you loved for their selfish interest.'
Soon the sun set, Edriana laid still.
" So what else did I miss" Aliza asked.
" Well nothing except Miss Edriana suddenly quit after a conversation with the Headmistress, and James and Emma seem to be planning something against you. "
" Hmm… Noah and Katherina broke up, Katherina and Alberto did get together, Noah beat up Alberto in turn got beat up by Katherina who broke through to mage 2. He did survive but they were punished for fighting out of the ring. "
" The rest of the week was super boring just random people going on missions. " Ennesie said.
" She actually broke through. " Aliza was surprised, everyone knew that Katherina had been stuck in mage 1 for a month.
" Aliza, lets us leave you alone for a while" June pulled, Ennesie out.
Finally alone she remembered the spirits that she had signed a contract with.
"Are you guys still here" she called out quietly.
" Yeah we are still here, do you need our help" Niar said
" Do you guys need a body or something, I cannot see you. It is kind of weird"
" I want a body I really do, but we need to build it ourself or take over an item or person." Darca cried out and pouted.
" Wait you can take over a humans body."
" Yes but we prefer to create our own flesh " Niar answered.
It did make Aliza feel better as they did not seem to like using people. Though it was her own assumption. Despite it being very close to the answer she would soon come to raise that a lot of them did enjoy the human skin.
" Well since you cannot make a body, would you like a doll" she asked.
" Yes, yes yes yes of course I want a doll body, it must be pretty and it should look like me.
" how am I supposed to do that. Remember I can't even see you" Aliza exclaimed, she was sure Darca had forgotten she was invisible.
" I can describe myself" Darca said excitedly.
" Oh! Have you ever seen yourself or me" Niar threw a cold blanket over her excitement.
Aliza then remembered that the spirits were created with only consciousness and gifts by nature. They could not look like anything and even genders were unassigned.
" " Right I forgot but why can we create a body at 'spirit core' " Darca grieved.
" Hey Darca, Niar don not worry I will get you artificial bodies. I can find a crafts man" Aliza comforted. She had no idea how they had lived technically blind and in absolute loneliness.
Not sure if she would regret what she had done today in the future but today she was sure what she. Saving them was worthwhile.
