Chereads / My Divine Legacy / Chapter 41 - Avarlyn

Chapter 41 - Avarlyn

Demon...

"What the?" Lucas muttered. His brows twitched as the little kid in his hands spun around in his sleep, smacking Lucas's face in the process.

'Where are we, yawn.'

Lucas ignored Dracon as he took a step forward only to be interrupted by a tap on his shoulder. He turned to face Lily who was glaring deeply at him.

Dracon yawned lazily as he clutched tightly to Lucas, completely disregarding this stranger. He was about to fall into a deep sleep before something struck him.

"Am...I...in...my...human...form?" Dracon asked before looking down to his own body. His eyes twitched as he instantly jumped off Lucas's arms with a frown on his face.

I am no longer a baby!

Lucas looked to Lily who looked as if she was about to create hell on earth with her stare. He helplessly shrugged as he began explaining what happened.

From how he got the dragon to fighting monsters, and getting two new skills. He left out some unimportant things though, but didn't forget to tell her about the strange smell.

As Lucas thought about the smell more, he felt an itch on his middle finger. Immediately he looked down to see a strange black substance glueing on to his finger.

Lucas ignored it for the time being, but he caught a glimpse of Lily's expression immediately he mentioned demon. She looked as if she had another vision that was even more worse than before.

Lily started to tell Lucas about the vision where a strange woman with glowing red eyes totally destroyed the guild and laid waste to it's surroundings. She said how she's been hearing whispers warning her about a demon AKA the red eyed demon.

Lucas knew that as one got stronger, one was bound to face obstacles that need to be destroyed. Lucas frowned deeply as he began contemplating on how to beat this monster.

It seems she's of my kind.

"This won't be easy. Lucas shook his head as he took off the ring with a plan in mind. Immediately the ring left his finger, a large influx of notifications struck him.

[Avarlyn: Sorry kid, but you don't have time to play around. Other divinities are making a move. It's your turn. I Avarlyn, AKA your master, bless you with my personal system. Hope you like it.]

It's like when a video game interface is improved to a more understandable and easy using interface.

Stats...

(A/N: FP stands for Fatigue Penalty which is the penalty for having less than ten stamina left.)

[Avarlyn: I hope you like this gift. Wake up and fight for me okay. don't die here.]

Lucas was about to speak, but the various influx of information entering his head at once made him to collapse to the ground. His soul rose up from his body almost instantly, as the world around him shattered.

"Lucas, are you okay." A male voice said as he hooked his arm around Lucas's neck.

Lucas turned his head to face the person, only to see a familiar smiling face.

Avarlyn!

"Master!"

Avarlyn smiled. He looked deeply at Lucas before drawing a magical circle on the ground while humming to himself. Lucas looked around to find himself in a strange place.

The sky was pitch black with no stars nor moon, but the entire place he and Avarlyn stood on was brightly illuminated. Lucas frowned as he looked down to the nonexistent ground which was replaced by huge clusters of clouds.

"Gimme back my orb." Avarlyn said as he finished the magic circle. He stood straight and held out his hand.

Lucas brought out the orb and dropped it in Avarlyn's hands without hesitation. He watched as Avarlyn took the orb and placed it at the centre of the circle before chanting some word in a weird language.

Te ukmu no bere the ka yasma!

BOOM!

Suddenly a shockwave blew away all the clouds around them in a fifty mile radius. The stony platform on which the duo stood was completely revealed.

On the face of the platform was the engraved design of a dragon with one eye and eight wings. The paragon stone was placed at the top of the engraving which was a round earthy platform with a hole in the middle and Avarlyn's circle around it.

One-Two-Three seconds...

The platform began to quake as cries and howls of numerous creatures were heard. Avarlyn drew out his sword as a golden armour began to appear all over his body.

Lucas looked down and shockingly discovered he had gotten armoured up too. His eyes brightened as he clutched Darksteel which was strapped to his waist tightly.

"Do you like the sword?" Avarlyn asked as he smiled.

Lucas nodded as he released his killing intent, while his eyes completely turned purple.

"You can keep it forever." Avarlyn shrugged as one message appeared before the both of them at the same time.
