Ruby was ushered into the guild after the device detected no impurities. Her heart beat settled as she was finally in the guild.
"Where are you Lucas...?" Ruby gripped the hilt of her sword tightly as she walked through the gathering of adventurers from various races.
Except the demon or twister race of course.
Ruby bumped into a girl on her way. The girl had silver hair and matching silver eyes, she wore slightly revealing clothes as she ran back and forth as if looking for something.
Ruby ignored the strange creature, and didn't bother to identify her race. All she wanted was to complete her mission before another calamity occurs.
Her eyes shot up as a familiar scent permeates her nose.
Lucas!

An hour ago...
Lucas had been beaten black and blue by the boss of wave nine. His Darksteel was shattered while his right eye was badly damaged. Blood streamed his lips as he struggled to stand to his feet.
"Hmph, Stupid human!" A tall masculine monster the size of a building roared in a booming voice as he flashed an outraged look in Lucas's direction. It was a huge demon with the body of a lion and the head of a bear. It stood on it's two feet with it's back hunched as two menacing wings flapped on it.
The nightmare began the moment Lucas, Dracon and Calder reached level nine. Dracon was killed in a single blow while Calder unexpectedly timed out, leaving Lucas to fend for himself.
Lucas fought as hard as he could, but unfortunately he met with the boss that put him in the dark position. Lucas was beaten down hard, but not before he inflicted heavy injuries on the monster first.
It's wings had long gashes on them which made it impossible for him to fly. It lost the crystal on it's head. This made it unable to fire off magical energy projectiles.
Lucas threw away Darksteel which was already broken in half. He grabbed his limping arm and snapped it back in place as a fierce look grazed his eyes.
The monster roared as it charged to Lucas with it's explosive might as killing intent started to leak out of it's body. Lucas on the other hand demon flashed to the monsters back before dealing a decisive blow to the back of the monster's neck which wasn't guarded by the rock hard scales present on it's back, chest and head.
Bang!
The monster that towered over eight metres was sent spiralling through the air before crashing down to the ground at great speed. Black blood splattered everywhere as the demon's head was slammed onto the nearly destructive earth.
Lucas dashed further away from the monster with an explosive speed as he calmed his racing heart. Suddenly the demon shot up as it dashed towards Lucas at speeds that were nearly impossible for a creature of it's size.
The demon whipped it's tail as it leaped into the air. It's eyes turned scarlet red as it's fist then flew down at a surreal speed.
Damn!!!
Lucas dashed away, but was blown up into the air by the explosive shockwave from the punch. His eyes flashed as his feet touched the ground before he kicked the earth.
Ultimatum!!!
"I never wanted to use this, but you're welcome to be the very first being to test the power of this skill!" Lucas roared as madness flashed in his eyes.
"I will KILL you..." The demon stopped as it looked around. It's beady eyes narrowed as it instinctively leaped backwards.
Lucas points his finger at the demon as his eyes began to glow in a purple light. The monsters around him all turned their heads to the huge demon.
Suddenly all the demons around them began to charge blindly towards it. Their eyes were lit up in a purple light as they all roared in unison.
The demon and his former subordinates clashed as black blood splattered everywhere, smearing anything it touched. Lucas grinned madly as he jumped away from the commotion with a smile on his face.

The demon screamed in pain as it was being torn apart by it's own while it was about to explode from the inside out.
Lucas grinned as he instantly closed his eyes. In the next instant, pieces of the demon were sent flying all over the place as blood and gore rained everywhere.
[You have cleared the gate!]
Lucas had no time to celebrate as he was transported back to the front of the gate once again. He opened his eyes slowly as he looked around.
Dracon who was now in his human form lay in Lucas's arm with his eyes closed. His little chest heaved up and down as his breathing stabilised.
As Lucas walked out of the room, he felt an impending sense of danger. His heart raced as he caught the weak smell of something strange amongst the adventures.
